Dedicated to lifetime fitness, he was a high school hockey player, an Army paratrooper, and has more recently been a competitive triathlete and in-line skater. Dr. Dorey specializes in advanced low force adjusting techniques and rehabilitative muscle therapy to bring gentle yet effective relief to her patients. She subscribes to a natural wholistic approach to health care, and takes time to educate patients on ways to improve their health through diet, exercise, proper ergonomics, and a positive mental outlook.
Dr. Dorey graduated summa cum laude and first in her class from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she completed her internship. She frequently participates in postgradute training courses in order to maintain the highest level of clinical expertise. She has achieved the Advanced Proficiency Rating in Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique, is a Fellow of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association with Certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics, and has completed the 100-hour Applied Kinesiology Course.
A 1987 graduate of Penn State with a Masters Degree from the University of Michigan, Dr. Dorey has previous leadership experience as a Program Coordinator with the Michigan Public Health Institute. She enjoys a physically active lifestyle, including bicycling, hiking, swimming and yoga. She also loves adventure travel, reading, and tending to her gardens.
