Really unique! Good food that's reasonably priced. I got the Salmon that was just perfect for not much more than what a hamburger costs in a basic restaurant. Reminds me of being inside my Grandma's Victorian fancy house. Will definitely be back.
My grandma invited me here for a girls’ lunch date. We had such a lovely time and our server, Miss Jenn, made sure our experience was so cozy and special. Everything was tasty, fresh, and presented beautifully. While waiting for our reservation, the lovely lady in the florist area was attentively taking care of a customer as he custom designed a bouquet for an occasion. She was so helpful in collaborating with him, and I can only imagine the results were as beautiful as all of the bouquets that were going out the door. Thank you for a wonderful time!
I Recieved The Most Beautiful Big Peace Lily Plant With Red Roses And Red Carnation Flowers On My Birthday Today From My Big Sister I Sent Her A Picture Of My Plant She Said Oh Wow I'm Glad I Called Them And Ordered From Them. I Am So Pleased What A Great Birthday Present Because I Am A Plant Lover. I I Highly Recommend Merrillville Florst And Tea!!
So pleased to see that the tea room is in business, and better than ever. The new owners are doing a wonderful job. If you're looking for the perfect, fairytale tea room experience, look no further! I'm not sure which is better, the tea or the food. Luckily, you don't have to choose. I highly recommend the Paris tea, which is also available for take home purchase!
I had my Bridal Shower here in April and had an absolutely amazing experience. The staff went above and beyond for my family and I. The decorations were gorgeous and the food was incredible. I would absolutely recommend and will definitely be having more events here!!!
We went during the Christmas season and it was amazing. From the delicious food to the decorations throughout the entire building. Although it was very crowded the wait staff was kind and patient with everyone. I plan on taking my sister there for her birthday. She's never been before but I know she'll love it. It's such a unique place to sit an enjoy a delicious lunch and wonderful conversation with a friend or loved one. I highly recommend this wonderful little escape. I hope to have or girl group and work group go too. I tried to order flowers once but it was on a Monday and they were closed. I'll try again as the arrangements I've seen are beautiful and unusual. I think this little gem could be a lovely destination place in NWI for out of state visitors. Long may you stay in business Merrillville Florist and Tea Room.
Great time at the Princess Tea this weekend. Very thoughtful menu, entertainment, and length of program. Will do again with the grands.
Merrillville Florist has always been held high in my regard, because my daughter and I have enjoyed their tea room for many years. Today they really came through as a florist. In our time of sorry, I had forgotten to order flowers. I called last minute and they delivered a beautiful sympathy arrangement. Thank you Merrillville Florist for being there when it really counts.
We trusted Merrillville Florist with the dubious task of creating a breathtaking bouquet for our wedding and they did not disappoint. Same goes for the Mother-Of-The-Grooms wrist corsage and the boutonnière. On time, day of event delivery. Highly recommend.
I called for a rush order bouquet. These lovely people were not only accommodating to my request, the arrangement was gorgeous and perfectly suited for the occasion. The recipient absolutely adored her flowers. I can't believe I've driven by this place for years and never stopped in. There's no time like the present to correct that mistake, I suppose!
