We delivered our first baby here, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about the maternity ward and all of the wonderful nurses. They were attentive, kind, helpful, and were there for anything we needed. The rooms were spacious and private, and very comfortable. The food was also great. I would recommend Methodist West for anyone who is looking for recommendations on where to deliver.
The medical staff here in ER/lab/radiology have amazing bed side mannerit matter! They are excellent as well as thorough. The downtown surgery center is also amazing. I can’t speak past these areas. But I’ve been given excellent care and appropriate diagnoses
Best out-patient surgery! The check in process was so easy. The nurses and surgical staff are AMAZING! They were incredibly kind, comforting and had a great sense of humor which I appreciated! I have never had a better experience and this was my 5th surgery. THANK YOU!!!
Second hip replacement in two years for my wife. Excellent and very thorough with care. All Dr.s and staffing outstanding! The nurses truly are the BEST! They work in such Unity. I recommend Methodist West to anyone!
I took my son last night for his shoulder to the ER, they had us in and x rayed and out in an hour and half !!! Best place ever thank you everyone !!!!
Made me wait in waiting room for 6 hours while I was Septic, meanwhile had no issue taking people back before me that had covid symptoms.
Waited over 5 hours to get seen by a doctor. They were letting covid patients in and walk around other patients. Only one doctor taking care of everyone. When they finally got me in They put me on IV pain killer. That is not a emergency department if you have to wait that long in that much pain not happy with them. Ever think call another doctor in? People shouldn't have to suffer for that long. Very rude people checking every in. They shouldn't be in the medical care. Somthing needs to be done there ASAP!!!!!!!
I have been here to the ER a few times. Years ago when first built the doctors were different and my experiences were better. The 4-5 times I have felt the need, or the paramedics have told me I should go in the past 4-5 years or so were not as good. I was never there when they were busy. Two times I was the only patient in the entire department.I got very young doctors who, even though I had very legitimate symptoms and observable abnormal issues, treated me for the most part with mild politeness. Their exams were usually fairy short. When I had blood drawn or tests ordered I sat in a triage room, nobody checking on me for hours usually. Once I was there on a Saturday night for no muscle strength in my entire right leg, and after being there a long time alone in the room I buzzed for help getting down the hall to the restroom or getting a portable urinal. I waited 20 minutes and when nobody came, I got myself up carefully and held onto the rail against the wall and carefully went down there and back myself! I was dischared still w/out being able to walk on my right leg. I told them I had 22 stairs to get to my apartment at home. The young female doctor said she could not admit me. They did not offer any solutions. They acted like they just wanted me gone. I called a taxi and the driver was very kind to get me up and in safely to my apartment. I had a walker brought to me the next morning by a friend. I saw my back doctor early MOnday morning and he was able to fix my back so the nerve was not being pressed by a vertebra. I was able to walk normally within an hour of seeing him. I called the main Methodist PR office Monday and told a woman what happened. She was a bit shocked and said she would speak to the ER head there and also the doctor and file a reprot about it. Next time, if I need ER services, I will try Mercy across the street. I will give them a 1 because the woman who did my CT brain scan was VERY nice.
I had knee replacement surgery here. I was kept very well informed as to what I could expect to happen next. Everything ran smoothly from check-in to pre-surgery to the OR which I don't remember a lot to post-surgery and finally to my room. This was the first time in my life I was admitted as a patient. I was very satisfied with my stay at Methodist West. My room was nice; the food was great; and most of all, the staff was very attentive and caring about my needs. Thanks to everyone at Methodist West.
I had knee replacement surgery at Methodist West. The staff is excellent from registration, to the recovery room, to the nursing staff. I appreciated that therapy was done on the same floor as your room. Beautiful surroundings, good food, and I couldn’t have asked for a better hospital experience.
