Description

Metropolitan Family Health Network is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides a comprehensive roster of ambulatory health care services. Incorporated in 2006, we are dedicated to making high-quality, affordable health care accessible to all of the residents of Hudson County, particularly those in our underserved communities. We accept most health care insurance as well as Medicare and Medicaid, and have a sliding-fee scale for patients who do not have insurance. Metropolitan Family Health Network never turns patients away because they cannot pay.

Metropolitan Family Health Network has three locations within the community that are easily accessed via public transportation: our main site at 935 Garfield Avenue in Jersey City, as well as 5300 Bergenline Avenue in West New York; and 857 Bergen Avenue in Jersey City where we provide services primarily for the growing number of people who now find themselves homeless. Transportation is provided for patients seen at the Bergen Avenue site.

Since our official opening in 2006, the number of men, women and children we serve has increased from 12,114 patient visits per year to 48,915. Our staff of 88 — including 14 physicians — is fluent in more than eight languages.

Unfortunately the doctor I’m seeing is good but the organization she works for scams you. I was told I needed a vaccine that required two shots. When I came back for my second shot. They charged me for another doctor’s visit even though I didn’t see a doctor. In the future I would recommend anyone who goes here to get your vaccines from the drug store where there is no out of pocket cost. Also every doctor in New Jersey is using MyChart but they don’t so I have to take my medical records I create with them to another doctor’s office who uses MyChart so the other office can update my records for every other doctor that uses MyChart. I wish I didn’t ignore the reviews about this place before I came. I still like my doctor but I might not stay with her because of the organization she works for. They didn’t even give my vaccine instructions on English.
My son has been going here since he was three. He is sixteen now. That should speak volumes. Since Dr. Elliston has been amazing all these years, I give this place three stars. He is the only reason why we have not left. The phone service or who ever is in charge needs to work out a better system and have some accountability.
I call and call and no body ever picks up the phone I have to call a bunch of times and when they do answer they give me a attitude they really need to get new people too work there that know how. Too answer the phone and don't give a attitude when u call for ur results hire. Me and I will answer the phone with no problem
The customer service here is horrible. No one answers the phone in any department. When they do answer they place you on hold for over half an hour. It's unfortunate because I love my kids doctor, but the service here deserves a 0.
If you have the option of going, anywhere else in the world, go there. Not only are they the most impossible people to get on the phone but then once you know, their incompetence is unmatched. I had to cry and beg and scream for people to find the right codes to submit to the insurance to get test that I needed For a cancer screening They regularly mess up prescriptions. Either the wrong dosage or brand or calling them in hours later if at all. There is no reason why after a 20 minute long conversation and waiting three hours. I shouldn’t have my prescriptions. This is ridiculous. If I have any other choice if there was anyone else I could afford to go I swear to God I would go there.
Went for an appointment today for the OBGYN Dr. George Woroch. This was the worst gynecologist I’ve ever been too. Sat in the waiting area for 30 mins. When i got to the back the nurse was very standoffish. She told me to put on the gown and wait for the doctor. After waiting an hr and half for the doctor to come, i decided it just be best to leave and find another OBGYN. Very unprofessional!! I’ll never go back to this place.
Got here 30min before appointment time, and they took 2 and half hours just to get registered and then another hour to get called in the room and 30min to get seen you would think with all these negative reviews things would be more efficient but they are absolutely the worst unprofessional and never answer phone calls
Very unprofessional staff, they don't honor appointment times esp Dental office and make you wait for ever. Any one who values time.DONT CHOOSE THIS PLACE
