Good dinner at a reasonable price. Burro Loco, fish tacos, street tacos, and appetizer sampler plate for less than 50 bucks. Ask for the spicy green salsa - it will help you get your mind right!
I like this place the food and service were great during our previous lunch dine-ins at this place. But dine in experience on Saturday night was bit different. Food looked like it was burnt sitting under light for a while and desert came out undercooked. or under cooked. Food quantity was less compared to lunch. Mini tacos came out with nothing but tortilla and meat, big disappointment and price point was way off. Chicken fajitas came with 4 small thin slices of chicken. Disappointed with this visit but will try again.
We really like Mexicasa. The food is good and the servers and decor are very nice. But there seems to be a bit of a language barrier as our order is often wrong. Even if we order online the order comes out wrong. Update 12/3/22: Our order was wrong again last night. We ate in and waited almost two hours for them to get the order right. I'm not exaggerating. When we did get our food, it was lukewarm including our cheese dip. Their food is good! They need to address the problems.
I normally don't share negative reviews because I understand businesses may have an off night. But this is our 3rd visit to Mexicasa over the course of several months and each visit has progressively gotten worse. The service was horrendous. We had to ask for silverware 3 times before my husband got up to find some himself. When our food came out it was soggy, cold, and subpar. I ordered a taco salad with chicken and there was barely any chicken, the taco shell was sitting in water which caused it to be soggy, and the little bit of chicken in the salad was cold. Our kids ordered burritos which came out after our meals and were cold. When it was time to get the check we couldn't find our server. Upon checking out we overheard others waiting to checkout who were also not happy with the service or food. I rarely ever post negative reviews...but there comes a point when a business needs to make changes or it won't survive.
Great people and great food! Food is amazing, quick turn around from time you order to on the table. Salsa and chips always refilled in a timely manner and they ask to make sure you want them refilled. Margheritas are tasty! Vegetarian options: Many options for vegetarians and they are willing to adjust to customers food needs. Parking: Large parking lot with plenty of spaces.
Food is pretty good as long as you eat it. For some reason, when you get take out it's never been that great. The sides like beans and rice are usually cold because they've been packaged the whole time the main entree is being cooked and the lettuce gets warm and soggy. I love the fajitas but when uou get take out you get 30% meat and 70% veggies. The tomatoes aren't anywhere near ripe so you're eating under cooked greenish tomatoes with barley cooked onions and peppers.
Extremely disappointed. The food itself was just warm enough to eat including the watery queso we had to send back to be warmed up...basically cold upon serving. Quantities were actually decent but zero flavor - everything was BLAND...and did I mention cold? The complimentary salsa was as warm as the queso & just as watery - you couldn't dip a chip in it without making a mess on the table. This place is NOT worth the cost especially considering that they charge you extra for paying with a card.
Pros: The waiter was nice and it went downhill from there. Cons: Bad food. The chips were cold and stale, the queso was lukewarm, the naked burrito with shrimp included unwanted pieces of overcooked chicken that the waiter admitted was probably from other dishes the cook was preparing, the chicken chimichanga was 2 mis-shapen pieces of mostly empty fried dough. The margarita was in a large glass but was watery and tasted like it was made with grocery store margarita mix. The food and drink were not good at all. I do not recommend and will not return.
I NEVER leave a poor review, but I have to this time. We got a table quick, and that's where the story went downhill. Waited 15 minutes to get stale chips, another 15 to order drinks, another 15 to order or meal. The ACP was barely warm. My son ordered fajitas, and it the plate was barely warm. I finally had to go ask someone after 15 minutes for his shells for his fajitas. By the time we got them, his food was cold. I should have left when the couple beside us left. Needless to say, we will not be back.
A watery experience. Watery Margharita, salsa, sour cream, and a really sad bowl of bean colored water. The tacos were decent, minus the verification for a total of 4 tacos, and recieving 3. Upon requesting confirmation of which 3 I received noticing with my eyes that 2 were al pastor the server made up some stuff on the fly and went about their day. Being fibbed to wasn't a great look, but with being our first impression, it will also be our last. Especially since the price does in fact change from menu to ticket and then again if you're paying cash or card.
