There is a method for everyone. Personal training for all ability levels.
My name is Eric and I am a personal trainer for all ages and abilities. I am a Certified Trainer by the National Association of Sports Medicine. Previous experience includes 8 years in the U.S. Army. From March 2014 - September 2015 I was employed by L.A. fitness. Recently I was offered the opportunity to branch out on my own and started working at Avon Fitness and Tanning.
My hope is to help other people improve their lives through physical fitness. My life experience is an example of how that can happen.
I was once the young athlete. In the prime of my life a soldier in the US army. The mid twenties guy that was out of shape but could still fake it. Then, I became just another office drone that lacked physical activity. I used the excuse there wasn't enough time. Some of my inaction was due to pain from old injuries. I thought resting would make it better. As it turns out, it only made it worse. After tipping the scales at 200 pounds I realized something needed to change.
The first step was setting a goal to complete the Tough Mudder. I felt recharged by being active again. After accomplishing this 12 mile obstacle course my passion for fitness was renewed. My pain subsided, I had more energy and my overall wellbeing improved.
We are all capable of making improvements to our lives. We can all push ourselves to do something today that we couldn't or wouldn't do yesterday. In fitness, we like to call these gains. Lose 2 pounds, that is a gain. Add 2 pounds of lean muscle, another gain. Add more weight to the bar, gain. Do 1 more push-up, gain again. Run a faster mile, gain. How about just run a mile? Gain. All it takes is a little effort and someone to light the path to help get you there. Life is full of gains just waiting to be earned.
