I've ordered a few times from here, and the food has been good. I do recommend some of the menu items. The staff were friendly and helpful when I had a mix-up with my order. They are on UberEats, but it takes longer to get food. Their tacos are good as well, and the meat is not over seasoned. This is a nice little spot is not so bad.Food: 4/5
Excellent food! Attentive staff ready to help. Relaxing atmosphere. Prices were good. The only thing we did not enjoy was two types of music playing with us in the middle. The server did turn one off when we asked, this made the whole experience much more enjoyable. Thank you!Food: 5/5
First time at Mezcalero Restaurant and we will be back! Great atmosphere including a big bar area. Plenty of seating, good music, great staff & service, great food, and very clean / well maintained! Tops in restaurant good and service and close to home!!Food: 5/5
Potato tacos. Consisted of a potato mash in a fried corn tortilla. Scoop of rice with pickled jalapeños, tomatoes, shredded cheese, and chopped lettuce on the side. Side cups of red sauce, green sauce, and sour cream. The potato taco was ok. The mash could use some seasoning. The sides and sauces complimented the tacos. The portion size could've used either 1 more taco or more rice. For the price, the dish was good. I would order it again.
The guacamole was delicious… and it all ends there. Our young male server was nice but inexperienced or just poor at his job. My husband’s margarita and my water glass sat empty for the majority of the hour and 20 minutes we were at the restaurant… and we never got a water for my husband despite asking twice. What normally takes 45 minutes to eat and enjoy took an hour and twenty with approximately 45 minute wait or longer for food. There was only 4 tables with no large parties so I’m not sure why everything took so long. Food was mediocre, shrimp tacos were overly sweet. My husbands meal was also unremarkable or redeemable regarding the poor service and extended wait time. Upon being disappointed with food and service, l waited for the check, that never came. I left my payment card on the table for 15+ minutes as a subtle hint to the server but the server walked by, cleaned up another table, etc… eventually I began walking up to pay the bill and sent my husband out to the car with the baby and then the server got the hint. Unfortunate experience and won’t be visiting again for Taco Tuesday.
Stick with the Tacos at Mezcalero. Its a shame my party was served bland cardboard chips when the provided salsa was good. The Baja Style Fish Tacos while being slightly over dressed had a great fresh flavor along with the side of corn elote. The Combination platter provided to be underwhelming with both the chicken mini chimichanga and the chicken enchilada drowning in cheese while the taco al pastor was delicious. My party also ran into a few issues with the Service as two of the members food orders did not make it to the kitchen until after most of us were served. We did have a group of 10+ Average Value 2.5 5.0
Server was great food took a long time, and food was just ok. I ordered fajitas and they were very bland. The atmosphere was not great there were two kids chasing each other around the restaurant from the party in the hall. Was very disturbing to our dinning experience. The hall doors should of been closed when they were also playing music and singing. I am glad we were done eating and leaving when the singing started.
Amazing food at Mezcalero. They also had a really talented 6-man mariachi band when we went it was a Friday night. I even requested a specific song, and they knew and played it. Food was great. Service was very nice and polite a little slower, but I think they were short staffed. I recommend their Parrillada platter mixed grill. So good!
The party hall is a good size for a large party, it is not handicap accessible from what I could see, only long stairs to access hall. Food was good, not excellent, but not bad. Felt like no air conditioning so it felt a little warm and stuffy but was tolerable.Food: 4/5
Loved it! Food is great. Vibe is great! My husband said the parillada was phenomenal. The potato tacos were great!! Paloma? Yes! Mojito? ! Parking: They have events so a full parking lot shouldn't stop you. Kid-friendliness: A lot of the kids friendly basics.
