Mi Casa Restaurant and Bar
"Mi Casa is a story of family, of multi-generations dedicated to good food and festive times. Over 50 years ago, my grandfather, Barrie Moore, opened the doors at Mi Casa. Ever since, our family has been serving up hearty portions of Sonoran-style Mexican food to a devoted following. Our hacienda-style, family-friendly Orange County eatery has thrived thanks to our wonderful customers and our ever-so-tasty dishes made with fresh and authentic ingredients. All the traditional Mexican favorites are available, from tacos, enchiladas, tamales, taquitos, chile rellenos, and any combination thereof. I invite you to visit our family-owned, independent restaurant upon your next trip to the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa, CA, area!"

Food was outstanding. The service was a little slow only because it was lunchtime & they only had 1 server. He was doing the best he could. I would definitely recommend. I know I'll be going back.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
Love that I found a restaurant with the queso dip! The food was served quickly, nice and hot. I ordered a Margarita that was way over the rim of the glass. At first, I was excited, but 2 minutes later I was cleaning margarita off the table.Food: 5/5
Excellent family style Mexican cuisine. I ordered some delicious shredded beef hard tacos with a side of rice and refried beans. Huge portions and a filling meal! But I must say I was very disappointed with the selection of salsas - I tried all 4 available at the chips counter and didn’t like any of them. This was disappointing for an otherwise tasty Mexican meal
Stars are for the friendly and prompt staff. Strange vibe when you walk up...in a strip mall, no curb appeal: it would be awesome if they could have a local artist paint borders or have carvings placed outside to give it a welcoming vibe. Inside is dated and worn down. Drinks, hands down, are good but the food was just above ok. Hubbs and son said the same about their food...not impressed. I had the tortilla chicken soup and it was ok. I will say, that if we stay on that side of town again, we'll be back for happy hour. Friendly service but food took a little while to come out probably because of Cinco de Mayo. Good food!
We have been coming here since 1979! When my husband and I first got married, we lived a couple blocks away, and I worked close by. The food is delicious, the staff is amazing from management all the way down to busboy. The dining area and bar are always clean, and the restrooms are updated and handicap acceable. We always start with MiCasa classic chips and cheese with guacamole! I recommend anything, everything on the menu, portion sizes are huge, and I always take home half for lunch the next day. My husband loves a good chili relleno. He always gets a combo plate with one. I love taco salads or burritos. Today I had the drunken burrito, the sauce is unique and very delicious. Kid-friendliness: Everyone enjoys the Pac-Man game!! Adults, teens, and children. There is no need for change. The game is free.
Delicious Mexican food. Some fancy choices and our server was great. He took excellent care of us, seemed happy to be there and didn’t rush us out the door. We finally tried the nachos. HUGE and YUM and then we had left-overs. Steak salad for me. Loved it. Made steak and eggs for breakfast the next day. Totally worth it.
It was so so. The chips are hard. The complimentary "salsa' is more Luke taco sauce. The prices were high. The staff was Luke warm. Not rude but not friendly either. It will be the last restaurant I attend...due to possible cross contamination from swine and unclean shellfish. necessary for our earth, however not healthy to eat. As per Levitucus I appreciated the enchiladas and rice and beans.. And LF was more pleasant then normal. The chips and salsa make a restaurant in my opinion, so I have to give a generous 2 out of 10 on that scale. - SLA... I recommend going to Gloria's or El Toro Bravo next door 2 streets up on 19th and Placentia or Don Ramons on Warner in HB...sincerely Shoe
I always receive posts of your food on FB and everything always looks so good. I live in Houston, Texas and I visit L.A. all the time, so I was determined to come to Costa Mesa and try out your food. Just so happened to be here this month. I had dinner one night and lunch again before going home. Everything was delicious. I will be returning in September. My friends and family followed me there also after seeing the posts. Everyone loves the food there. The portions were huge, well worth the money. And the tortilla soup with the avocado and sour cream, chicken and veggies...OMG! My compliments to the Chef.
50 years and still going strong. My favorite Mexican restaurant in the world. Not fancy. No corn fungus or bizarre dishes here. Just excellent homestyle old school Mexican food. Love it. These guys know how to make a cocktail too. The best.Food: 5/5
