A modest food stop, not much to look at, service is good, plenty of free parking. Food could use improvement, I had the machaca, flavor was missing. There are several better restaurant choices in the area.Food: 2/5
We’ve enjoyed going here for a number of years. We don’t necessarily regard it as the best Mexican food available in the area but it’s always good and dependable. The burritos are very good — huge, easy to split. I recommend the Obispo burrito. The chips and salsa are also very good. The service can be a bit spotty but the servers are so nice they compensate for the spottiness. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We’ll continue to return and that’s probably the best recommendation.
Great Location! Love the Atmosphere and Outside Patio Good Food! Price is Affordable Food: 5/5
Delicious menudo.. tasty Chile rellenos, fabulous machaca plate. I've eaten here about 10 times and have not had anything bad. It's all good!! This is my go to place when I'm Morro Bay and the locals will agree... it's authentic and delicious and the price is right!Food: 5/5
Very courteous staff, very good food. Served hot, even chips were served warm.Food: 4/5
We love this restaurant. It is a great deal! The cost of the dishes are not expensive and yet they taste so good. All of the vegetables are very fresh like it's farm to table. The meats are cooked excellently and the service is impeccable! We highly recommend checking this place out on your trip to Morro Bay.Food: 5/5
What a gem! Staying in Morro Bay, I had filled my belly with plenty of seafood and needed a change. Mi Casa hit the spot. The food was authentic and delicious with very generous portions. There were plenty of vegetarian options not sure about vegan, though. Lots of cheese. Cute outdoor dining area and really nice staff. Vegetarian options: There were clear vegetarian options on the menu - burrito, enchiladas, and the rice, beans and guacamole are a delicious and filling option on their own. Parking: Small parking lot and street parking available.
Very good in every aspect. The chips and salsa, I could have made a meal just on that.Food: 5/5
Great little neighborhood find. We travel with our dogs and always looking for dog friendly dining establishments. This place was perfect. I had the New Mexico Enchiladas and my dining companion had a breakfast burrito. Chips were fresh and not salty, which we appreciate. Salsa was wonderful too and on the mild side. One can always add to make it more spicy. We both enjoyed our meals. Waitress was very sweet and attentive Will definitely will be back for more!
+ Reasonable prices and HUGE portions + Hearty and filling food -- feels like a home cooked meal + Really loved the Tamales here in the red sauce. DELICIOUS! + Complimentary chips and salsa. Bonus points for chips being warm : The salsa was decent but a little runny and mild. It had a really fresh and light taste, but not much spice. + They serve beer and wine at very reasonable prices + Super dark but spacious interior that made me claustrophobic. There are no windows or natural light coming in besides the front door so it feels really closed off, dingy, and stuffy + We opted to sit at the outdoor patio which is lovely, bright, and colorful + Service was a little weird and cold at first. We asked to sit on the patio since the weather was nice and our server seemed a little irritated by that. He made a disapproving comment initially and made another comment that the phones rings a lot and he likes to close off the patio again while we were closing out our bill. Eventually throughout the meal he warmed up a little more to us, but we felt like we were walking on eggshells the whole meal. What's the point of having a nice patio if customers aren't welcome to use it?! + Large parking lot with plenty of spots available + Right across from Foster Freeze! I didn't see a dessert menu here so if you're looking for something sweet to end your meal Mi Casa is conveniently located to Foster's Freeze. Overall, our experience was okay but nearing on the weird side. It was an unusual experience with the whole patio situation but nonetheless we enjoyed the food for the most part. It wasn't the best, but it was better than average!
