The Miami University Summer Skating School is an excellent week long training experience for skaters of all ages. It is 4 weeks in total with 3 different camps being hosted. Our coaches are professionally certified and qualified skaters.
The Elite Skating Experience:
The country's first Varsity Synchronized Skating Program is offering a week long look in to the life of a Miami University Synchronized Skater. Each clinic is a part of the skating program that Miami student athletes participate in on a regular basis. Participants will be led through a vigorous week of on and off-ice activities aimed at improving synchronized skating skills.
Figure Skating Schools:
Whether you are aspiring to your USFS Gold Medal or ISI Freestyle 10 level, our school can help move you closer to your goal! We offer two one-week sessions, skaters are welcome to attend either or both! On and off-ice group class instruction, two freestyle sessions, skating exhibition and a camp t-shirt are included in the camp fee. Private lessons (including harness & video), a daily dance session and ISI/USFS testing are also available at an additional fee. A residence plan is available in a nearby dormitory with 24 hour supervision from our staff. This school is recommended for skaters who are at least ISI FS 1 level.
Synchronized Skating School:
Synchronized skaters of all levels are welcome to this camp! The one week program focuses on individual skating skills, synchronized team skills and off-ice training, drawing skaters from across the US and internationally as well. All skaters are placed on a team of approximately 20 skaters that train their individual skills together and learn a “short” program to perform during an exhibition at the camps conclusion. Skaters are coached by the Miami University Synchronized Skating staff and eligible athletes or alumni from the Miami University Varsity Synchronized Skating Teams. Coaches are encouraged to attend in an observational role.
