Michael’s House, centrally located in Fairborn, Ohio, provides a warm and welcoming environment for children who are suffering from all forms of abuse.
Michael’s House, dedicated in December 2008, is named in honor of Michael Mercurio, who passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2007, at the age of 37. Michael devoted his life to improving the lives of others, particularly children. As an endodontist, Michael traveled to Romania each year to give dental care to children in orphanages. In 2006, he was recognized as Rotarian of the Year for his efforts to help children.
Today, the Michael’s House Foundation carries Michael’s legacy forward. By working to improve the delivery of services to area children who are affected by abuse and neglect, the Foundation and this regional facility reflect his unconditional caring and respect for others.
