From the outside the restaurant doesn't look like anything special but once you enter, well let's just say well done, upscale but not fussy, and very relaxing. The Waite staff is excellent, and we were a table of 4, that had to make a reservation change 4 times! Very accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their meal and good portions. My daughter and I shared a dessert, yummy. See photos
I love food. I am more than willing to pay for great food. I was definitely expecting more for the price though. For appetizers I order chard squid $17 and lamb lollipop $22. Both were good, lamb a little over done. For my entrée I ordered the bone in ribeye MP. I don't ask price when ordering. I just want to enjoy my food. Prepared medium rare warm red center always. With just salt and pepper. 1st time out, it was medium medium well very little pink and juicy . So had it remade... 2nd time out medium medium rare mostly pink very little red so disappointing. Did not go for a 3rd. I had 2 bites that were medium rare. Possibly because i was alone, water refill... unless you're a big party, good luck. I ask for check $110 for 1 person. $62 for steak cooked wrong 2 times. Still tip $15. Food wasn't servers fault
Food was very good as usual however, we have never had such poor service and unaccommodating conditions in a restaurant in years. We asked for a booth because someone in our party had a back injury but they refused to seat us in a booth because they said they were “reserved.” This was a Tuesday night and no one ever occupied any of the booths. Our friend had to end up leaving the table and walking outside. Our male server never came back to our table once and we had to flag down another waitress to bring our check after waiting over 30 minutes. Too bad we will not be returning. The pandemic is over. No excuses!
From the outside of the building and it’s location, I would have never have gone to this place had it not been a recommendation. I am so glad we did! The food was delicious! The executive chef came out two times to speak to tables and ask how their meals were which was nice. Definitely will be back!
Service tonight was great as always, the staff definitely work together as a team to keep things running smooth. The chef and owners were out and about making sure things were going well. Food was delicious and drinks too!
Took my wife & family for her bday and I Have to say the food was great and the service was definitely A Plus. Our server Christopher was awesome we loved our drinks and the hospitality was top notch I will definitely come back again, My wife enjoyed her swordfish dish.Food: 5/5
This was a nice restaurant, but definitely not worth the hype. I was told this was a really great place to eat, so we made reservations with our neighbors and tried "MVG" for the first time. Walking in, it seemed decent and had a good vibe. Their menu had some unique items but it seemed as if they put their own twist on entrees you can order at your local Carrabas, Olive Garden or Bone Fish Grill. Nothing spectacular or different. The food was served luke warm and certainly not worth the hefty price tag. Our waitress and service was amazing and very much appreciated. I would not recommend this place. The food quality did not match the price tag.
Husband and I agreed this was an outstanding dinner, food, service, ambiance. Waiter and even chef cared about our feedback. Lamb lollipops unique and wonderful! Salads, flat iron steak and wedge with shrimp just right! Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
This place is Penfield's very own steakhouse gem. Exceptional food, a unique menu, and a friendly staff. I've found an incredible, new date night option and I'll be back.
Arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and was seated immediately. We shared the charred calamari with diced tomatoes which was very tasty. Our salads were the beer and Caesar salad. Both prepared and displayed nicely. Main course was scallops and the cowboy bone in ribeye. Excellent flavors ... for dessert we shared the homemade gelato. These were amazing. We had a scoop of coconut and mint chocolate chip... great service. Place is well lit. Would go again and would recommend.
