Michaels Harborside

We were in from Illinois visiting family. We decided to take an afternoon to go exploring. We wanted some fresh seafood. This place did not disappoint. We had lobster and Haddock. The sides were amazing. The garlic mashed potatoes and grilled green beans were delicious. I didn't was my meal to end. The service was ok....nothing special. The atmosphere was great. We loved being able to sit outside and choose being in the sun or not. The view was so pleasant and relaxing. We would definitely return.

The lobster roll was phenomenal & the hamburger was cooked to perfection. If the weather would've been more cooperative, the patio & its view would've been delightful. Friendly service & reasonable prices. Highly recommended!Food: 5/5

We heard great things about Michaels but we're, unfortunately, disappointed. We were excited that they offer a lot of gluten free dishes, however, the food was very bland. The shrimp scampi was just oily pasta with some shrimp and very little flavor. My partner had a hamburger, which he said was nicely flavored but the bun was too small compared to the burger. We felt the prices were much higher than the quality of the food. The servers were pleasant and kind, but very busy and perhaps a bit understaffed. Service was slow. Dietary restrictions: They have a lot of gluten free menu options.

The restaurant is located near harbor. Having meal with the the view and salt air comes in. Good atmosphere. See food is really fresh, lobster tastes good. It might because of the location.Food: 5/5

I grew up in this area, and this is a regular favorite of mine. Sat at the outside bar, and it was nice but needs more shade. People were hot in the sun. Got the special of a shrimp po' boy with fries. It was decent. Roll was not the best quality, but overall, it was good.Food: 4/5

As soon as we walked into the dining room it smelled amazing! I knew the food would be good and I was right. Service was great atmosphere was relaxing and food was top notch. The Mexican street corn dip was out of this world. So simple and yet perfectly done Food: 5/5

I give Michael’s a high rating for its drop-dead riverside location and usually good food. The crispy Calamari had too much heat for the four of us. I took the leftover home, rinsed it well and fed the crows. Try the Harborside Bloody Mary topped with 2 large shrimp and nice ingredients $17. Our server that late afternoon had a poor attitude, unexpected here. Will return again.

Went to Michael’s for a birthday dinner and we left very disappointed. I have patience and understand people are busy, but it took more than an 1 hour for the waitress to take our orders. When the food finally arrived, the runner dropped our food on the table next to us and left. He never came back so we severed ourselves. The waitress was appalled we had to do that. In the group of 8, there was a hair in the chicken burger and fries were cold. My friends steak was practically still mooing instead of being “medium”. I got the Paloma and it tasted like toilet cleaner. The waitress was kind enough to take both these items off the bill without us asking. The AC was set to low 60s so we froze the entire dinner. Overall, overpriced for the poor food quality. I felt bad for the waitress this wasn’t her fault, but this kitchen needs an inspection. Sad to say we were all underwhelmed considering we’ve heard such good things about this place :/

Usually my husband and I have a great experience. However, yesterday was a bit different. My husband got steak tips, mashed potatoes and Asparagus. I got the surf and turf tips and fried clams. I should have taken pictures. I know it has been a strange summer but I believe my husband tips was just plain pieces of steak that looked well done and very thin. My 4 pieces of tips were meaty and cooked perfectly. I barely received fried clams maybe 8 pieces of I was lucky. We say outside on the deck, which was different for us. It was quiet and there were people standing off to the side next to us having a conversation and it was odd. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. For a bill that was about $90 not including tip I was a little disappointed. And yes, my husband is contacting management directly as well as this out of the norm for us.

Stopped in this past weekend. Gorgeous weather to eat some great seafood on the water! The calamari was cooked perfectly and we loved the sweet but hot peppers. Our friends loved the mussels. And there was so much seafood in the seafood pasta toss dish...very impressive!Food: 5/5
