I almost never can find what I’m looking for here, and trying to find an employee to help is equally as difficult. Over Christmas time: Me: how much is this little black Christmas tree. Front End Employee: it’s 40% off. Me: there’s no price tag on it, can you tell me how much it is? FEE: sends someone to also go look and see there’s no tag on it. FEE: I don’t know, but it’s 40% off of whatever it costs. Blank stares all around. We did not end up purchasing the tree, and left. You can have all the nice merchandise in the world, but if you hire people who don’t care to sell it, your business is no good to anyone. The 2 stars are because of the nice merchandise only.
I usually have good experiences at Michael's but this location left me with a bad feeling. Had all of their Halloween stuff listed at 70% off. The discount was not applied to all the advertised as discounted items at the register and they wouldn't change the total when pointed out. I was just told that not all items in the discount area were discounted. The misleading advertising made me uncomfortable and I left. If I hadn't noticed the blatant overcharge at check-out, I would have been ripped off.

Not a big Hobby Store kind of guy, but went in with my wife. Actually have a really great selection of odd things. If you can't find it other places......check here. You might be surprised
Fantastic 70% off Christmas decorations on December 28th. I was surprised by how much they still had to choose from. I bought ornaments and greenery for next year!
Great places for most all your arts and crafts ideas
I am giving 5 star to employees and store manager. Natalie is the store manager. She is very professional and customer service oriented. We love how much she changed the atmosphere of the store and how much time she spends on the floor with customers. Jen is one of the employees who deserves five star. She works in the frame shop, very professional and talented. Both Natalie and Jen changed our perspective about Michael's. Hope corporate appreciates them as much as we appreciate what they do in Rutland.
Wanted some semi-cheap frames. That was a joke! But found some that would do just not as nice as I'd hope for.
Natalie, the store manger, was extremely rude. A cashier needed some assistance with something and not only did she not take a second to even acknowledge us, the customers, she was very rude and belittling to the cashier who needed assistance. When the cashier walked away they seemed about to be in tears- i asked them who that was and expressed empathy for having to work with such heartless bosses- I’ve been there! I’m a regular at michaels and i miss the old management team. Non stop unfriendly vibes at this establishment. They also refuse to speak to the employees with horrible hygiene. I’ve sent numerous emails and spoke with many who agree.
Ordered online and was able to pick up in store the next day. The process was really easy and I didn't have to wait for my order. Coupons and discount apply to online orders with no additional fees. Will definitely be using this service again.
