Pretty quiet establishment. Has a lot to offer. The section for flowers is EXPANSIVE! Multiple colors in just about everything. The toy section was surprisingly great. Couldn’t believe the amazing selection of paintbrushes. Staff answered questions but were busy with tasks . Solid visit
The two gentlemen that helped me were amazingly helpful and friendly! I was so impressed with how they were willing to go above and beyond to help pick out the right frame for a print I had, the guy in the photo area even placed it and everything for me! I wish I would remember their names to give them credit.
Love this store, the Management is great, atmosphere clean. Items are available when needed. Great sales.
Ok so I mostly go here to map out what I want and buy cheaper somewhere else. But I do buy from here as well and it's really nice, just a little expensive for me. Their paint selection is really nice. They have a huge variety of clay like polymer clay. And lots of sketch books. I'm mainly doing this review because this guy who works there. He is so nice and helpful. Most of the time you go into stores and expect workers not to care. But not him, he was happy to help and even explain how to use stuff. He alone gets a 5/5 from me :
I have been going to this Michaels for years and have never had any problems with it. Every time I walk in I get treated to one of my favorite scents ever. It's probably a combination of flowers, fabric, and knick-knacks but I love that Michaels store smell. Anyways, today I needed help with a custom picture frame mat for my cross stitch. Seth was the one who had helped me in the back and he deserves a raise. He helped me through the mat decision process and had it cut and ready to go in minutes. I thought it would've had to take days and be a bit pricey, but it only took like 8 minutes to cut and was reasonably priced. Overall, positive experience like always and will return whenever I need arts & crafts materials.
They have lots of different supplies. Also, Michaels doesn't have archaic social values, interfere with their employees' reproductive decisions, and buy smuggled Middle Eastern antiquities. That is why I will always buy from Michaels rather than their competitor HL, located a short distance to the west.
Leanne in the framing department was amazing! I had a custom framing piece that I needed a quicker turn around on, and she was able to accommodate this. She was very helpful in selecting mat and frame options, and then called me with regular status updates. I was impressed with the proactive communication, fantastic customer service and excellent workmanship. The piece turned out beautifully!
The staff are extremely unhelpful. They had a bunch of signs for sales that they were having and when they rang up the discounts did not apply. They did not honor the prices and proceeded to tell me that those items never went on sale then walked away. I can understand if it’s not something you can fix but they were not apologetic and were rude to me. A few days before that there was an employee that followed me and my friend around the entire store assuming we would steal. Honestly would give zero stars if I could.
Michaels has all the craft stuff I could ever need. Don't forget to sign up for an account and rewards!
I went in looking for seed beads needed a specific color for a project I asked the manager where they were located and he apologized, even though it is a larger store they couldn't get the seed beads. He told me to try the Eagan store or Shakopee store. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area!
