Easily one of the worst dr appointments I've ever had. Was referred to Dr. Belardo because my regular ob/gyn was booked. Needed to be seen for prolapse previously diagnosed by 2 other Drs. When Dr Belardo came into the exam room she didn't introduce herself at all. Instead she rapid fired multiple questions. After telling her I have prolapse and heavy bleeding during my periods she then said, "so we can either address the bleeding or the prolapse, I can't do both." Umm ok? Most Drs want to know all your symptoms and issues since a lot of times things can be related. Due to the problems I'd been having, I knew the exam was going to be painful. I relayed this information as she was starting the exam; the pain was awful and I teared up a little. She didn't stop, didn't say anything other than to tell me to "stop crying". She then proceeded to tell me that she saw no prolapse which like I said was diagnosed by 2 other Drs, one being a specialist. No woman goes to an ob/gyn for no reason, it's oftentimes because they're having issues, it's a sensitive situation, I don't think compassion and a little sensitivity is asking too much. This "Dr" displayed neither of those. She seemed more concerned about who referred me than anything else. Needless to say I got dressed and walked out. She's a terrible Dr and in my opinion a terrible person. For any woman considering making an appointment with her, don't!
I've seen Dr. Belardo for my annual exams for many years and really like her. She listens and cares. The only downside for me is that I can't see her in Westlake anymore.
I saw Dr. Belardo back in October after my primary care doctor expressed concern for endometriosis. I went over my symptoms and medications that have been tried in the past but felt she was dismissive of my concerns and how my chronic pelvic pain was affecting my quality of life. She said she didn't think I had endometriosis and said she doesn't perform surgery on "healthy" patients. After I asked for a referral to someone who would keep in mind endometriosis is diagnosed via surgery, she just wrote down the name of someone on a paper towel and handed it to me. Well, I recently had laparoscopic surgery with another more proactive gynecologist associated with UH and was diagnosed with endometriosis on my bladder and colon as well as elsewhere in my abdomen.
The worst appointments, DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE THEY WILL CANCEL IT WITHOUT YOU KNOWING!!! And you will be left without a doctor!!! 3 times i made an appointment with her and every time they cancel the appointment without me knowing!!! I just check the app and it’s not there!! And when you call them they don’t answer!!! I AM A HIGH RISK PREGNANCY AND THEY DO NOT CARE!!! And now i am left without a doctor and i don’t know what to do!! Is it because she can’t handle a high risk pregnancy or is it because of my name and i am arab or what!!! Just tell me the reason!!!
Very great doctor . Was super clean and easy at check in. Have a 6 week appointment with her and I know it'll be good.
Great Dr! Listens to her patients & is always looking out for their best interest.
