Decided to get my private pilot's license, and after browsing the interwebs, decided on Michigan Flyers. Took my introductory flight with Jacob and my wife and I had a great time. I am looking forward to spending my summer getting my license!
Club is over subscribed. Have only been able to get in 1 instrument training flight since February. It’s quite frustrating and leadership looks to add even more members.
flying lawnmower pilots buzz our house at low altitude, been in contact with the FAA, was told to kick rocks basically. fly over your own mansions in AA and see how YOUR neighborhood reacts.
It was exactly what I was looking for, definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to ride a helicopter.
I would give them less if I could. I contacted them well over a week ago to try and start flight lessons but they still have not contacted me AT ALL. No emails, no phone calls, nothing and when I try to call them there's no answer. DCT Aviation on the other hand, got back to me immediately and I've already scheduled a tour of their facilities and will discuss putting a schedule together for lessons.
I took about 10 hours of lessons here. My flight instructor was arrogant and impatient and would not let me learn at my own pace. Also, the Cessna planes are very old 1970s. I would also pay my instructor for two hours of flight time while we were in the plane for much less they were wrapping up with other students, using the bathroom, ect.. I completed my license elsewhere for a much better experience for cheaper with newer planes!
Everyone is friendly here. Planes can be hard to schedule in the summer.
Wonderful club to learn to fly! Amazing instructors, seven well maintained planes 4 152's, 2 172's, 1 182, and all expenses included in Hobbs time for renting planes.
Dont waste your time calling! I called regarding introductory flight training and spoke with a older male . First he told me I was too far away from his location and that I would not want to drive to the airport locationthanks for deciding that for me. Then he told me that they were "too busy" for people that dont take it seriously. I told him I and the person doing it with me were very interested and I wasnt going to waste my time nor money and wanted to sign up. He proceeded to say that they dont give out tours and they're a flight school. I said once again, that I understood. He was very rude and condescending. Told me to look into a different airport. So that's what I'll do, take my money elsewhere.
Amazing instructors fun environment...
