Microfinance Connection is a student group at Binghamton University that aims to promote a financial system that facilitates the eradication of poverty.
We research and educate students about market-based solutions to poverty, with a focus on microfinance. Microfinance Connection gives students of all majors a unique opportunity to learn about how the poverty epidemic can be effectively treated by leveraging tools that are already present today. We will engage students through presentations, guest speakers, community projects, and attendance of relevant conferences. We hope to enrich the campus with awareness and an understanding of microfinance and the opportunities that it holds for the world’s future.
Microfinance connection’s objective is to develop student’s understanding and appreciation of microfinance and related topics.
