I enjoyed my establishment of primary care with dr zimmer. the wait was a little longer than I pleased, but my care was top notch! The facility was very clean and I look forward to going back!
This office needs better office staff. They made me feel as if they were doing me a favor by allowing me to be a patient there. I'm going to be looking for anothet doctor.
As a primary doctor they are great and I love Suzanne the nurse practitioner that's there. But if you have referrals that need to be sent out or anything like that please stop yourself from going to this office because they have one part-time worker that sends out the referrals that's out half the time she's supposed to be working. I've been waiting 2 weeks now for them to send in the approval to my insurance to see a neurosurgeon with severe back pain and it doesn't seem to matter to them. I am beyond livid and after this situation I will definitely be changing my doctors.
This office has poor etiquette. The front desk staff is extremely unprofessional. Maddy, the office manager is ghetto, yells at patients over the phone and not accommodating to her elderly patients. Not to mention she will hang up on you. This is not a facility that cares about their patients. I will be reporting them further, especially Maddy.
5 star top notch Dr. Zimmer and Nurse Britcher and staff. rates recently increased from 60 to 100 for 6 month primary care visits but the cost of everything is skyrocketing . the quality of care and service i receive from Midway prohibits me from looking for a less expensive primary care doctor - aka i am happy staying with midway regardless of the rate increase. p.s. i have no insurance so i am quoting self pay rates.
I have had only bad experience with this practice since they abruptly closed the Okeechobee office. I never received a letter letting me know the office was closing. I only knew when another patient told me and by then Maddie in the Fort Pierce office was fielding calls. She was syrupy sweet saying @ I am only trying to help you@ when she was actually only giving me her preferred options. I believe that I am the customer paying for services. I called today to get help with a firm that the Okeechobee office has done for years. No big deal. Lettie, Jennifer and Amy were customer oriented. I was shoved into an office in Port St Lucie that is not even listed on the website and with a doctor who was again pleasant on the surface but condescending. He spoke with superiority as to his value versus the female nurse practitioner. Halfway through the exam questions, he was on computer and said, “oh, you have insurance!” I am an RN and I would have called anyone out on this kind of behavior as a manager but these people forget who the customer is.
If I could give zero stars I would. And I didn’t even make it to the exam room. I made an appointment as a new patient weeks in advance and received a call the night before that instructed me to be at the office at 1:00 for a 1:30 appointment today. I took time off work early so I could arrive at the instructed time. I arrived at 1:00 and the door was locked. Phone was unanswered multiple times and was finally answered by an answering service who said the staff does not come back until 1:30. I then sat and waited car until 1:15 and saw that they finally opened the door. I did let Madeline at the front desk know that someone left a message telling me to show up at 1:00 but no one was there at 1:00 and the doors were locked. Not a huge deal, but still I arrived early as they requested. Madeline “apologized” with a rude and dismissive tone and told me she opened the door at 1:10. So basically had the attitude and look on her face of “so what’s your problem”. I suggested that they don’t tell people to arrive at a certain time if they weren’t even open at that time since people usually have to take time off work. I was not rude in any way but I was frustrated obviously... but not being rude at all. But I was COMPLETELY taken aback by Madeline’s extremely rude nature. Madeline turned around to collect the paperwork to give to me and muttered very rudely under her breath “I am NOT going to start the afternoon like THIS.” Obviously referring to me. I then said to her “excuse me?” to which she replied the same sentence only louder and more rudely and then shoved the paperwork at me. This is who you have running your front desk and reception area and “greeting” your patients. I, of course opted to leave, without being seen due to the very rude and unprofessional behavior by this Madeline individual who has no business dealing with patients if this is the kind of care and attitude she has to offer to patients, especially when your office told a new patient to show up at a time when they weren’t even there and they were obviously in the wrong. I will also add that I work in the medical profession, in a hospital ER setting and if anyone ever spoke to a client like that they would be without a job by the end of the day. This is truly the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in a professional setting. I did read the negative reviews but thought I would give them a try since they had some good reviews. Too bad Madeline cost you a patient today and future potential patients that I happen to share today’s experience with.
My brother waited 6 months to get his insurance and finally received it. Our family is very worried about his health and the day before his appointment this practitioner turns him away because he has not recieved his covid injection. He is unable to get the injections because of his health. Now he has to suffer more waiting on another appointment and find another doc. It is wrong and unethical for any doctor to turn away anybody regardless if they choose not to get the covid shot or not. What happened to the oath this doc vowed to treat and care for another human? Its a shame.
This is a top notch Dr's office. They are friendly and always easygoing, yet they will go out of their way to help you. Tracy is #1 I started with her 3 yrs ago and I have never even thought about going to see anybody else. Tracy is always caring, gentle, and understanding while not being judgmental. Dr Zimmer is the hardest working Dr I know, she to is an amazing Dr. I love these people
Waited two months to be seen. Then they don’t even know how to look up insurance. Rude and nasty attitudes. Go somewhere else they are not worth it
