For Workshop Tinkers & inventors this place is a dream come true! It has everything you could ever need, & 5,000 items you didn't even know you neededb or even existed for that matter. Everything from obscure components of your grandfather's days, all the way up to brand new modern items. They had something I was looking for that literally no one else had Within 60+ miles of Dayton, so I went there for that one thing, but left with 15 other things I didn't even know I needed till I got there. The owner was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, & helpful! Even though it is over a 45 minute drive from my home, I will ALWAYS go here FIRST from now ON. Also, I'm very happy to support a small business that has been owned & operated by the same guy for 40+ years. Thank you Midwest surplus electronics!

Hands down my #1 fav store. If you are a Tesla coil or ZVS Induction heater maker guy like myself. This is your 1 and only stop. Not even Amazon can beat this old man's prices.

Great people and lots of electronic stuff no one has great store

This is an outstanding place to get parts, connectors, and used equipment. They have a tremendous inventory and really good prices. Definitely worth the trip.

I live in the Dayton area and have been going to this place for many years. It is very clean and well-organized, and the owner Roger is nice. It's not a huge place certainly not as big as Mendelson's, but it has just about anything you might need. And unlike Mendelson's, you can actually find what you need!

Fantastic shop! The owner is usually always there to answer questions and has worked in the business for over 40 years. Great kits available for beginners up through advanced, and just about every electronic component you could ask for, and then some more! If you have any tech you want to repair or get running again, or you want to build something from scratch, this is the place to go. Give them a shot, you won't regret it.

I was in a real pinch and needed a capacitor for my air conditioner. I called a few minutes before they were due to close and the guy working said he would stay open a few extra minutes to give me time to get there. You just don't find people like that very often, someone that's willing to go above and beyond. This store has earn my business from this point forward. I encourage everyone to check out the store for themselves. A true gem to have access to.

This store is very well organized and has very reasonable prices on electronic components. I could probably spend a couple hours in there just browsing around. Very friendly and helpful staff too. Definitely worth stopping in and checking it out.

Excellent place man, great staff, and everything is in a place where it can be found. Since I first posted this review I've returned many times to this store. It's my favorite one in Dayton. I've found everything I need to build induction heaters, audio amplifiers, power supplies, and numerous other involved projects. Not only is there a wide selection across the entire inventory, it's all organized in a manner befitting an electronics shop. You'll find a wide array of ic's, a whole shelf of class d amplifier chips, kits to build yourself and tools to do it with. For people like myself this place is a gold mine, whereas others are more like dirty, convoluted, labor intensive hunts for possible treasure offered at %50 clearance... Best place for us that you will find; and the staff won't laugh at you for coming in all the time.
