Miffco Barbell Training offers a variety of personal fitness training services with an emphasis on strength training utilizing barbell regimens.
Who should be strong? You. Me. Everyone.
I've been barbell training for 10 years and competing in powerlifting for 3. It's had such an amazing impact on my life that I want to help others experience the same.
Being strong isn't for everyone. Only those who realize its value. You don't have to be a powerlifter or in the Olympics competing in weightlifting. You may just want to be better at a sport or your job; you just may be looking to increase your everyday quality of life. There's no simpler or easier way to do this than weight training and the best weight training there is utilizes barbells.
I'm currently a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer. In the next 12 months I'm planning on getting certified as a coach from USA Powerlifting and USA Weightlifting.
I'm currently working full time as a pharmacist which means I'm not always available, but if you make time for yourself I'll make time for you too.
A little more about myself. My sports background includes soccer from grade school up to high school varsity and six years of wrestling including high school varsity. I'm also a combat veteran; a former wheeled vehicle mechanic in the PA Army National Guard retiring after nine years as a sergeant. While in the Guard, I spent a year in Afghanistan.
Short term goals are to build a client base and get people interesting in weight training.
Mid term goals are to generate enough interest to start a local USA Powerlifting Club and USA Weightlifting Club.
Long term goals are to open a local gym focused on powerlifting and weightlifting.
