The food was for the most part was delicious and the service attentive & friendly.  The pickled beets are nearly as good as the ones my mom used to can.  My complaints...we were there at 5 PM and the buffet wasn't as fresh as it should have been at dinnertime.  I passed on the dressing on my first trip because it was so dry and crusty & didn't look appealing.  Also my partner had to scrape around the edges to get a helping of mashed potatoes.  I did return and I did work on finding a spoonful of dressing that wasn't completely crusty because I love dressing...and with a tiny splash of gravy that I don't really like the flavor was great and I ate every bite.  I can't comment on the three choices of meat because I'm vegetarian but my partner seemed to like the bar-b-qued chicken.  Desserts were delicious and of course, the bread homemade and delicious as well.  Now, had it cost $8.99 or $9.99, all things considered, I would probably go back.  Even the $10.99 that Golden Corral charges would make it a better choice by ambiance alone...but $11+ per person and $2 each for drinks...I would not choose Mike & Matt's again.

My wife and I ate there on New Year's Day it was good. The service was great. Way to start the year. Thanks
