This was our first time back to Mike's York Street Bar in a while. It looks like the place went through some remodeling and it was really nice on the inside. The menu looks better and updated. We ordered the cheese steak, ribs, and the Mahi tacos. Everything was great, but the ribs were a little dry. Service was awesome and prices were reasonable. I was happy we stopped by and will visit this place again.
Had my baby shower there on feb 26th 55 people and the place, people, food, etc could not have been any better! The service was great and the food was phenomenal! I recommend this venue to anyone for an event!
The upstairs room was nice and decently sized for about 50-55 people for a baby shower. The food was another story. Best thing about the buffet was the Caesar salad and the garlicky green beans. Everything else tasted like it was made the night before. Penne in vodka sauce was half penne and half ziti and very over cooked. The pasta was dished out in clumps all stuck together. The bruschetta chicken was so dry that the cheese and bruschetta were crusted on top of the chicken and the seasoned potatoes were more like frozen breakfast potatoes. If you’re looking for a shower venue, it’s a nice place and decently priced, but maybe switch up the menu.
Hummmm Scott & Eric wake up. It is truly sad to see this place and open your eyes Look around you wonder why the revenue is going down with limited beer on tap to a smoke filled bar & restaurant where the fire Marshall would shut down in a heart beat. Also it's 82 degrees in your establishment, you sure Don't make it comfortable for your patrons to stay. What is the temperature set to in your house??? We went for a little appetizer snack. The loaded fries and some boneless wings. Simple, easy and quick meal right? Not here! There was only one waitress working the entire restaurant. She was doing the best she could. The manager however needed to do way more. It took almost 30 minutes for our food to get delivered. The celery and plate came out hotter then the wings for how long they sat under the heat lamp. The loaded fries were missing half of their ingredients and were stuck to the plate also for how long they sat under the heat lamp. Extremely disappointed and we will never be returning to this establishment until it is owned by new people. It is sad how far this once great place has fallen.
I just had my husband’s 40th birthday at Mike’s on 10/22/2022. Meg and Becky did an awesome job running the event. My husband was happy, everyone had plenty to eat and drink and we all had a great time. Meg & Becky went above and beyond helping me put decorations up and going with the flow when we realized that we were missing the one of the trays of chicken in the buffet- and quickly finding a solution and doubling up on another crowd favorite to make sure there was plenty of food. They are both so sweet and friendly. Thank you Meg & Becky for a great evening!
I tell ya, I don't usually don't leave a negative reviews, but this place has really gone down hill. It's been a few years since I was at this place, and it used to be good. I ordered a chicken sandwich, it was messy and awful. I also had dry rubbed wings that were supposed to be Cajun, they just coated it with paprika. My wife had the burger, which was edible. The bill was for 58.00. Don't waste your time at this place.
Service was nice. Food came out quick. Mike's super burger was delicious. Fries though were cold and mushy. Definitely a meal ruiner. Menu was a bit much; all over the place really. Don't think he could decide which route to take or took on more than needed.
Visited on a slow Thursday night with a couple friends. They ate, I didn't. Prices were as expected high, so no surprises there. Service was really slow, and it wasn't just us who noticed. Food arrived at least 20 minutes after it was ordered, and it was plated really poorly. A small cup of salsa was lying on it's side and dumped out, leaking across one of the diners entire meal. The waiter never acknowledged it, just dropped it and left. Our waiter spent most of his time watching the sports on the other side of our booth by the bar, instead of checking oh his tables. I also watched as a larger group that arrived after us repeatedly got up and went to the bus station to get their own napkins, condiments, extra silverware, etc, as the waiter was MIA. Overall, it was just OK, nothing to write home about. I won't refuse to return here, but I'll certainly look for other options before returning.
