ALL NATURAL BEEF, PORK AND EGGS FOR SALE
MISSION STATEMENT: Milford Farms is a fourth generation farm that produces all natural, hormone and antibiotic free beef, pork, eggs and hay. All of our animals are raised humanely and treated with the utmost respect. We greatly appreciate the support and business from our local customers. Our goal is to have a profitable business so we can pass the farm on to our next generation.
FAMILY HISTORY: A fourth generation farm that was started by Charles Kolvites in 1928 in Kingwood Township, NJ is currently run by his great grandson, Scott Milford and his wife Maryann. She is a veterinarian and owner of Paw Prints Veterinary Hospital. Maryann is responsible for all the preventative care that our animals need in order to stay healthy. Scott lived on the family farm his entire life and was involved in working on the farm ever since he could walk. Scott’s father, Wayne, has played a vital role in helping take care of the animals.
Scott and Maryann grow their own hay and grain that is used to feed the animals. Their diet consists of corn, oats, wheat and grass hay. All of the animals are “finished” on grain for their last 3 months. In addition to growing their own crops, they raise beef cattle and pigs as well. All the animals are born and raised on the farm. Scott and Maryann are always trying to improve the animals genetics and meat quality. They raise Angus cattle, Hereford cattle and Baldies. Baldies are a cross between Angus and Hereford cattle. The pigs are Yorkshires. They DO NOT use any steroids or other growth hormones. Scott and Maryann have been using the Springfield Meat Company in Pennsylvania for about 8 years to do their meat processing.
Meat is sold by the pound and cut. However, for those of you with large freezers or groups of like-minded friends, you may want to consider “cowpooling”. This is where you can divide up a whole steer between families and friends. Each order will be boxed separately and evenly.
You can purchase their All Natural Beef and Pork at the Dvoor Farmers Market or by picking it up. Please call to make an appointment. Delivery may also be available.
