It is difficult for every parent to see that school’s atmosphere is affecting their child’s growth. My son is studying at Mill Creek High School. From the very starting he was excellent in academics. But, one day he forgot to take the stationary along with him during exams and the class teacher took him to the principal. The attitude of principal was not appropriate the way he humiliated my son it affected his mental status and leads to stop his growth.
When it comes to measuring the school rankings we notice everything from studies, culture to behavior. I took my children to Mill Creek High School for the admission last week. I was satisfied with everything from the school achievements to other activities. But, the moment I met principal it changed my mind as the behavior of principal was very rude and certain to affect any child’s mental status.
The worst part about being a student at Mill Creek High School is spending four years there buying early tickets for graduation and getting the late tickets and then acting like they don't know who you are after you spent four years there. Yet you have a diploma ready and the teachers get to bullying you. I graduated in 2009 and I wasn't even invited to the reunions. It's like the school never recognized I was ever a student.
I has a great experience going to this school years ago, and I believe it deserves a 5 star review. The teachers really care, and I doubt that the one teacher that didn't is there anymore. She was very old and cited me for plagiarism on a paper that I didn't need or consult any outside sources - very odd.
Lots of student-teacher relationships here. I have one creepy teacher who keeps putting his hands on all the female students and saying gross things to them. The students here are racist and stuck up, and the only reason why this school seems to be doing so well academically is because there are large curves on the tests and if teachers don't give you the answers they either let the whole class talk during a quiz or give you endless attempts. It's an awful school and that's only the beginning.
This is a great public school that has great teachers like Mrs. Mahany who teaches 9th grade Honors Literature who students can relate to. Mr. Kevitius loves to see the creative history projects and his course is very educational and rewarding. Mr. Mason that keeps the band looking great at the competitions and on the football field. The POMC marching band gives the students structure & guidance because high school can be tough. The classes are far better here than a lot of other Gwinnett County schools that have limited educational resources and programs. The Dual Enrollment/ Moving Forward is an excellent addition for students to be able to gain college credit at 100% paid by government funding grants. Mr. Jackson the student counselor is also very helpful, informative, and passionate when helping students prepare for their future. I love this school because my child has had far more better opportunities than I did growing up in Chicago city schools where our programs were scarce and cut due to tiny budgets. Glad to be a part of this high school so that my child has a bright promising future.
Terrible school. Extremely cliquey and the people are very rude. Very poorly ran by staff that do not seem to care. Do not recommend it at all as this school has a lot of drama such as teacher affairs with students, fights, drug deals, etc.
I am a student at this school and I must say, although things may get boring from time to time, it is an academically superior school since it provides numerous AP classes and faculty that is always there when you need them :.
This school is full of rich snobs who are given everything. If you live in the area go to Mountain View! Everything is nicer the bulding, the people, etc...
Im a student here and lets just say its not the best school we get in trouble for every little thing and the punishment for being tardy is not fair
