Millikin is a private four-year university with 2,200 students in traditional and non-traditional undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
When James Millikin founded the university more than 110 years ago, he did so based upon the idea of combining theory and practice. While this was a radical idea at the time, today, we know that practice is not enough.
Today's students must perform their knowledge in order to be truly prepared for life after college. Internships. Co-teaching. Student-run businesses. Presentations. Market research. You name it; our students are finding new ways to live out their learning and reap the rewards of their hard work. The result – Millikin students graduate with experience and the confidence to succeed. In 2015, 99% of our students went on to find jobs or pursued a graduate degree within six months of graduation.
