OK. This is not a trail that you can just stroll about and take it easy. Parts of the trail are easy but most of it is narrow and one needs to pay attention. Having said that, this is a quiet park and nature abounds. Enjoyed a lot. Couple of spots where one can get nice views of the Bay. Best is to access from the Arguella side.
A nice little park that has a loop trail about 1.5 miles in length. The trail follows the top of the canyon and loops down to follow the creek in the lower canyon. The upper canyon had an overlook with east facing views towards the bay. This trail has great natural scenery and is a great little hiking area.
Wonderful trail for trekking. Trail could be slippery when wet. There were a lot of dead trees along the trail.
peaceful nature stroll with mild descent/elevation depending on which way you hike. took us about 40 minutes and hardly broke a sweat. beautiful trees and well kept trail. creek was flowing a little bit today!
Small suburban park with one main trail Ed Taylor Loop Trail, 1.5 miles and a few crossover paths. Access is from local streets. The park has few amenities no restrooms, no picnic area, no playground, but trail is marked. Not very busy, some dogs are walked in the park. Trail is narrow, rocky, rough with tree roots, or has stairs at multiple points - not suitable for mountain bikes or some disabled hikers. The lower trail along the creek can be very muddy and slippery when rains have been recent.
Sweet little 1.5 mile loop in Burlingame. At the high elevation point, there is a beautiful vista. The lower leg of of the loop, Creek Trail, however has some sections with undergrowth encroaching on the trail. It could also use some more signposts and maps, as well as general maintenance. Where is the Parks Department responsible for it?
Awesome short spunky hike with great markings and care. A great place for a quick workout with very few folks. I only saw 4 people total and 3 dogs. Quiet and peaceful. Also, spectacular million-dollar views at certain points!
Decent hike, steep in some places. Reward is view of the bay. Not very well marked along the way, need gps guidance.
Beautiful view of the bay, airport, and wooded areas. There's a creek as well. The elevation change is fun and the trail has a lot of nice features with logs, rocks, small bridges, and even a tree with its large branches crawling up the hill that you need to walk between/through. It's a fun hike and after you get exposed to the warm sun you then descend down the loop to a shaded area with a creek where you cool off. You can hear planes but it's still quiet and peaceful.
There's nothing better than a bit of nature and quiet to pass an afternoon. Even better if it's just a few minutes from home! My boys and I love exploring at Mills Canyon! It has an abundance of trees, plants, wildlife and the view isn't bad either!
