A beautiful morning experience in Lawrence. Dined on the patio with Huevos Rancheros and a American breakfast. Service was quality and food was great. Definitely a repeat spot for anyone!
I have been coming to Milton's for more years than I can remember. I've always had a pleasant experience dining in, or just popping in to pick up a Togo today was not that. I walked in, seeing that there was a group waiting for seating outside and a couple inside the doors. I have seen it much more busy. The entryway is small at the new location, so I stepped up to the counter to not be confused as part of the party at the door, to do my business and be out of the way. Everything was great. The waitress started taking my order, and the hostpossibly owner snapped at her to stop that there were other people who were he first I needed to wait. It seemed to take longer for him to stop her and to back out of the transaction than to finish. I could see his interjection made her uncomfortable, and it def did me too. he walked away sat a group wandered around looking at the dining room and his notes then moved a family from one table to the next and finaly walked back up to me I calmy explained I only needed a Togo and I would be out of the way he said he would be right w me then walked again he eventually came back and made me sit down to place a Togo order I said I was fine didn't want to take one of his seats he said you need to sit here to place a Togo wanting to be done w this interaction I sat down he handed me a menu I said I just want a b and g to go he walked away and mumbled something along the lines of you can take care of him now to the original waitress by this time she had her hands full and was busy helping her customers so I waited another waitress came by and asked for my order confused why I was sitting g at the bar for a Togo. this interaction would have gone so much better, and I would not be considering taking my business away from and not recommending this amazing Lawrenc staple had he not been rude. , The food and both waitresses were great!
Everything was phenomenal except for the French toast; it was a bit dry, which is the only reason why I didn’t provide a 5-star review. However, the flavor of the French toast was very good I’m big into textures. While our server was very attentive, she didn’t have much of a personality. All of this stated, I’ll definitely come back! Everyone should give this place a try!
We stopped in today and got breakfast. They were super busy and on top of their game. Our server was very friendly and did a great job. The breakfast wrap was amazing and the steak & eggs was definitely in my top 5! Highly recommend stopping through if you're ever in town.
They don’t write down your order. I ordered an omelette without cheese and it came with cheese I am allergic to cheese. My husband ordered a sprite with bis food which they never brought until they brought his food. The iced chai they charged extra for almond milk. My omelette tasted like they dumped salt in it. The food was not that great we did not leave a tip and couldn’t get out of there fast enough. We didn’t even get any kind of apology or offered a discount.
Great little breakfast/lunch stop downtown. We enjoyed breakfast on the outdoor patio after visiting the farmers market on a perfect weather Saturday morning. After a short wait, we were seated promptly and the service was excellent. My wife wanted me to mention that Jessie got her order just right including all of "small" changes to the menu items. We will certainly be back!
Stopped in for Brunch. We were nervous about the wait in such a small space but the staff was on top of everything. The wait was shorter than expected at the height of Brunch hours. The service was amazing! The drinks and food are delicious! The atmosphere was not hectic like most places during Brunch. It was lighthearted and fun. If we lived closer we would be regulars!
Not many restaurants I deem review worthy but this one meets the cut. Simple yet elegant! Flavorful properly portioned and fairly priced. Why 4 stars you may ask, well the espresso machine was down.
Milton's Café has delicious food. I had the mushroom feta omelette. I also love their salmon w eggs. We split a french toast it was delicious. We love their Bloody Mary's w pickle and green olives. Great staff and service. We went there on a Sunday but you need to get there early or sitting outside is great too if you have a coat in case it's cold.
Wait is long but food was awesome and worth it. Prices were reasonable as well. Service was also good.Food: 5/5
