Milton District Hospital is surely one of the best and highly recommended hospital specially for the maternity. The staff is very professional, Cooperative and very friendly. They are always there for any sort of help. They do what is best for you. The hospital is super clean and organised. The whole delivery experience was totally worth it and thanks to the doctors and nurses for making it all easy in every way.
The nursing and medical crew of MDH’s maternity ward are amazing. Nurses were so helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and kind! Doctors were also absolutely fantastic and both teams made sure we had our needs met, from baby, mom, to dad! Thank you all so much I will absolutely be sending more feedback to Patient Relations!
The worst hospital ever I acme with vision compromised and I ended up waiting for 6 hrs with no one checked on me. Tells you something about the medical care here. Thanks for the great staff and thanks for management for this service
I’ve never given a hospital a 5* review. I came in on a Saturday for an MRI, and the woman at the front desk was comforting, friendly, and just wonderful. It was a nice and quiet Saturday. I showed up 40 mins early instead of the 30 they requested, and actually got into my MRI earlier than my appointment time as the lady before me was early too. Thank you random lady :. The staff were much nicer and friendlier than any other hospital I’ve been to, including the man at the front who told me where to go to find the MRI department. Everything is color coded. Notes everywhere. Very inviting and easy to navigate.
While the bad reviews are valid and I have had my fair share of bad experiences in emergency and in acute care, I would like to highlight an experience that left me feeling very grateful. The ER nurse Christopher was very kind and made my day in the ER easier, as well as the paramedic Patrick training alongside him. They were so awesome and made sure I was comfortable! The doctor in the ER, Dr. Ali is also very nice and one of the best doctors I have ever had. He explained everything very well and helped me out better than any other doctor has. The ultrasound technicians are also very nice and calming. Thank you for making a bad experience a little better with your kindness!
Bitter sweet experience. I went in through emergency for oral surgery complications. The two lovely nurses I had the pleasure of meetingAshley and Marrissa were perfect angels, so kind attentive, full of life and happy to be there. All nurses besides the “charge nurses” were very nice. The issue comes from the staff outside the emergency room. I was moved to inpatient care and was there for 4 days. After being discharged I was given orders to take the medication I got before coming into the emerg. I made it VERY clear that I don’t have 2/3 of my medications to continue taking at home. And would NEED a new prescription for them. They said only my doctor can give me the prescription but they couldn’t find her…. I waited 3 hours in the waiting area for someone to get a hold of her, NOTHING. I also left a note with my information for a call back, NOTHING. Frustrated and in pain I went home. I continued calling asking to speak to my doctor or a charge nurse, the charge nurse kept hanging up on me, without helping I called 5 times same results. Then finally the nurse tells me my doctor isn’t even here today… okay that’s fine, but how can I get a prescription for the medication I NEED to take to avoid coming back into the ER? She said she doesn’t know, go to my family doctor…. I told her my family doctor is in Burlington, I cannot do that right now. She legit told me to come back to emerg then and get admitted again just to get my prescription. I was in complete shock. They treated me as an addict of some sort because I needed ANTI BIOTICS, acting as if I was trying to get more than I was prescribed The level of unprofessionalism is appalling and the lack of Dr’s need to addressed immediately. One shouldn’t have to admit them selves into the ER to get a prescription that was already prescribed to them. Day 2, still no prescription so I’m forced to admit myself into ER again and hopefully get my medication, seriously unbelievable. Other than that ordeal, they nurses and doctors treated me well.
This hospital is a gem in the small community of Milton. They have new departments now and it’s makes me very happy to see that it’s growing. Today I visited The emergency department. I am not sure in regards the doc that I saw how I felt , but I can tell you the nurse Demon is on the best that I ever came through. This is my second time seeing him . Few weeks ago my sister in law almost lost her life and he advocated for her . I am so lucky to have him again . May god bless him and protect him and all the health care workers that are devoted to the profession.
We all started coming to Milton Hospital back in the mid 90's. Its almost always a quicker wait, nicer staff, cheaper parking and generally an easier experience. I'm actually in the hospital right now waiting to see a specialist. Emerg Dr. checked me in for the night and nurse Minnie has been taking care of menight shift. Super sweet lady!!! Reshma is very helpful as well! I was in here 6 days ago for day surgery and Dr Hartman took care of me. I would definitely recommend this hospital. My only tip, be nice.
Took my wife to the emergency. We got in at 10 and left 3:30. Overall experience was good but the front desk staff at registration could be better. Ignored half the things my wife mentioned so we had to mention it to the doctor and waited for an extra hour. .
My wife delivered our baby girl at this hospital in February 2021. The overall care provided for my wife by all the nurses were wonderful, and everyone was kind towards us. One nurse in particular was such a good nurse that we were astonished at her care for my wife; this alone significantly assured us that we were in good hands! The accommodation post delivery was also good and the food menu was average. However, one of the nurses so not an indictment or generalization on every other nurse incorrectly took blood samples for our new born couple of times until another nurse took it correctly for jaundice levels; this did cause us to be upset. Hence, overall we rate this at 4/5 and would recommend this hospital for the overall care and accommodation provided.
