I just want out of the whole system at this point. We're supposed to start with a new school this year because the last one wasn't going so well for us. This new one I was so super excited about. I thought this was gonna be the one for us but I'm starting to feel like a burden to them already. My son has DS and unfortunately as his parent it feels like they want him to go elsewhere because they don't wanna deal with him. I knew that he was guaranteed bussing/ for to door service from the beginning. They claimed they couldn't get him a bus and offered several times for him to go to another school. Initially I felt like the vibe abs the energy was where it was supposed to be, but now I just feel like we're a burden to them. So yet again I have to turn my back and leave my baby with people that I do not trust as far as I can see them. . This is ridiculous. They haven't even met my baby and he's already unwanted. At this point I feel like getting legal help because this is just wrong

Milwaukee Public School District should be ashamed of themselves for hiring staffs who has no skills speaking to parents. I called the main office on Vliet to get assistance with the Infinite Campus Portal in August and was told, I'm not able to get help until my child was actually in school. I called today and was told, no one can help me. I asked why, and was told that the system is down. I'm on the portal now and it appears to be working. Disgusting's how these staffs are being paid for not doing anything, not have any knowledge about their jobs and lastly having the decencies to be professional.

I read the comments about the Montessori school being nice. Bet that's where the board members kids go.

I went hear to vote. That said I used to work at a MPS school, it was horrible. The students do what ever they want and the teachers don't care...hands tied?

If i could give this school district negative stars I would!!! What an absolute and utterly garbage of a school district! No answers their " extended learning " extension for summer school. Miss Nataira Crawford, the summer school coordinator never answers her phone at central office. Mrs. Armstrong , the person in charge at Hamilton HS summer school never answers her phone either. So basically you, As a parent have no one to call with questions. This has led to pulling one of my children out of the school district amd sending him to private school. My daughter had gone virtual amd im still deciding on my other daughter. Ronald Raegan HS could not care less about a students mental health well being amd makes it impossible to comfortably send your children there if they are having mental health issues. Stay away! They are 100% a bureaucracy of politics and paper pushing, not focusing on the well being and the facilitation of education of your child. They make it so hard on the parents with their asinine requirements that if your child needs ammental health well being day off school that you have to get doctors note for each time they take a mental health day. They know FULL well that doctors won't give you a note since the conditions are not superficially treatable. Horrible experience so far.

The school board fired a teacher for playing the Rainbow Song by Dolly Parton.

My 4.0 sophomore daughter commented "I should start failing in school so me too can be allow to go back". There are students who are working hard to keep their grades and represent MPS well. Give all the parents and students the option to choose or keep them all home. Thanks for the exclusion. Great amendment Baez.

Dr.posley needs to resign he's been doing a poor job managing schools from the lunch they serve the kids to getting info out to the parents of the students.He did a poor job on the vitural schooling too.Once again can we get someone to do something about this horrible food they're trying to feed our kids like i said we need a woman in this position because Dr.Posley don't have a clue on how to feed kid's why is it that all the schools have students complaining about how horrible the food is please help our kids

I was pleasantly surprised today on my visit, the female security guard was extremely friendly and the staff working in the GED/extended learning department were great as well. I’ve had not so great experiences in the past but this gave me some hope for MPS. It only takes one nice helpful person to improve and brighten someone’s day, thereby improving the overall experience.I hope someday this place is able to get a brand new, up to date building.

This school board allows teachers to fight with special needs students and return to work. Children should always be protected even if they have a disability that causes them not to be a perfect student they should not be punished for a untrained teacher loosing her cool and spitting back on a child and hitting them in the face. Thanks for not treating my child like she matters. My 11 year old is scared to go to school because the 50 years old lady was allowed to spit back at her and fight her like a grown woman but because my child has disabilities and it was the teachers first offense it was justified.
