Mind Over Body is a program for people who are done with dieting and want to change their relationship with food, their bodies and themselves.
Let us help you help yourself. You have been on multiple diets without success and over time you have gained and lost countless numbers of pounds. Mind Over Body is a program for people who want to change their relationship with food, their bodies and themselves.
Mind Over Body is not a diet. It's not a way of life. It is a way to change your relationship with food and your body.
We know diets don't actually work. The research shows that over and over again. "YOU DIDN'T FAIL YOUR DIET, YOUR DIET FAILED YOU!"
Mind over body helps people understand the psychological and behavioral reasons that they are overeating. We help them to eliminate negative psychological drives and replace them with healthier forms of self-care. Most of our clients find that not only their relationship with food improves, but so do their relationships with people.
Kelly Lewallen, MFT leads a dedicated team of friendly and caring behavioral health professionals ready to help assist in recovery and healing from Binge Eating Disorder and many other forms of disordered eating.

Program Outline:
Clients come in to our facility three times per week, for 6 to 8 weeks. During the time they are here for each visit, they sit down to a "mindful meal" (from local restaurants) and learn to eat in a new way. They meet with a therapist in group every session to help unravel the reasons they are over eating. They then find new ways to change their relationship with food and stress. The program is broken up into 8 essential units, to ensure we are targeting the full scope of a person's disordered eating. During the visit, they meet weekly in an individual session with their nutritionist. In addition, they experience comfortable movement such as Qi gong, chair yoga, and practical, simple and easy ways to reduce stress and improve functioning in their busy lives. Additional individual therapy is schedules, as needed. Call one of our counselors today for more information at (760) 200-3042.
