Very nice park. It has a nice lake to fish in. Don't forget, July 2nd is free fishing day mark your calendars. Nice restrooms, picnic tables, gazebo with picnic tables. Trails and paved paths to walk. There are many forms of wildlife; squirrels, birds, seagulls, Canadian geese and goslins, and I saw one deer. There is also slides and a climbing area for children. I saw one goose that looked like it had a broken wing or two. Always keep pets on a leash so they don't injure wildlife. I hope someone can help the poor goose. He can't fly or hardly walk. I think dogs should be banned from this park. Playground: Slides and different climbs. Restrooms: They are in a nice log building. Picnic area: It looks like they have a group picnic table area that you can reserve. There is a park host on the right when entering the park. There are three picnic tables in the gazebo. Then a few by some shade trees.
Enjoyed walking the trails. Nice park with a host on site.
I go here about 3 times a week for exercise on the extensive trails in the upper part of the park. All trails shows many trails deep in the back section off park boundary. Recently it's been quite icy but enjoyable.
We stopped at Yreka and had some time in the evening so found this via AllTrails. This place is a hidden gem. Parking lot was huge. There are many trails here but we just did the reservoir loop. Plenty of deer, Canada geese and other birds were easily seen. There is also a miners trail which has old mining equipment from the gold rush. The wood bridge on one side of reservoir was also neat. We spent an hour here.
Great little park in Yreka. I wish the county had more of these that were so accessible. Only thing I could say is that it would be great if they could update the signage for the trails because some trails have it, some don't, and you can go on for ages in the wrong direction trying to get back down on an actual trail to the parking lot.
A wonderful park to take the family or to just go hiking.
Great hiking and well marked trails. Saw lots of geese and their young along with deer.
Clean and beautiful playground for toddlers and a separate playground for bigger kids. Grassy areas with tables and bbqs. Lovely restrooms and it all looks well maintained. Will definitely come back whenever we're on the long drive to visit familya
Great park to walk with kids. Small playground that looked fun. Not a lot of shade, so bring a hat. Looked like a decent place to fish for fun. Playground: Looked good for 4 - 9 year olds. Restrooms: Clean and well stocked.
Wonderful place to walk dogs, see geese and ducks on the water, see a bit of history of mining and enjoy the beauty of Mt. Shasta and creation. We enjoyed watching people fishing and had a relaxing walk around the reservoir. Restrooms: Clean Dog-friendliness: Many dog friendly trails.
