MYL Dallas is a USA youth wing of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) which was founded in 1981, at the head of the 14th Hijri Century, by the globally renowned scholar Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
MQI is a multi-dimensional organization in over 90 countries, across 5 continents. It embodies the vision to treat the ailments of the Muslim Ummah and for the revival of Islam in the present age by seeking guidance from the Qur'an and the life of the Holy Prophet (peace & blessings be upon him).
In order to achieve its vision, Shaykh-ul-Islam defined the aims and objectives of the movement, and methodology of achieving its goals. After 30 years since its establishment, MQI has some great global achievements including: a chartered Islamic university, a research centre, 530 Islamic schools and colleges, 450+ published books on Islam (over 500 not yet published), 1000s of lectures on Islam, a women's wing, a youth wing (Muslim Youth League), a political wing, an international welfare charity, an interfaith and intra-faith harmony society, a human rights society, an online TV channel, and a global media presence.
Our mission:
1. Help youth restore their link with Allah SWT, revive their connection with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and develop a link with the Holy Qur'an based on love.
2. Present relevant Islamic teachings suitable to the context of present-day American society
3. Encourage comprehensive self-development through religious and secular education, using diverse channels
4. Inspire virtuous character building through spiritually reviving programs and forums
5. Nurture leadership, restore self confidence and encouragement, and promote the spirit of serving the nation and community.
6. Focus on a positive contribution into society through welfare initiatives
7. Stand for peace and integration through cross-cultural and interfaith dialogue
