Minnesota Music Cafe

My wife and I and some friends,tried this place for our first time. The guy behind the counter taking cover charge was very rude to us. The old lady who was behind the bar, which we were told is the owner was terribly disrespectful and crabby in the way she treated us when ordering drinks. We ordered deep fried food and some of it was not cooked all the way. There was also a mouse in the women's bathroom. This place is disgusting with junk for sale inside,making it feel like a thrift store. Pictures all over the bar with no room to set your drinks down on. Plus it smells so musty and moldy! We will never go back there again. Mn Musty Cafe.

Hard to believe that this place was once a premiere place for music. But if you like the smell of beer stained carpet you'll love it here. Seriously, it looks like hasn't been properly cleaned in probably a decade. The sound is HORRIBLE. Typical for a barn and deaf sound guy, who probably should have been fired a decade ago when they let the cleaning staff go; he's even grumpier than un-attentive zoned out bartending staff, but it's the East Side so what do you expect? Pretty seedy area next to the railroad tracks and homeless everywhere. If you like your music with a bit of personal danger, this is the place for you!

A historic venue that has showcased artists of many musical genres. Friendly environment and staff, too.Food: 5/5

The main draw is the live band and dance floor. The crowd was older, 50 and up. Drinks and food were average

Now my favorite happy hour! Came to watch my neighbor's band and left happy, full, and new friends. Love the food, great drinks, and great atmosphere! Bartender was amazing! Can't find enough good things to say! Thanks for a great experience! I will be back!

First time visiting. Enjoyed dancing the night away to the music of the Johnnie Brown Experience. Excellent music! Excellent vocals!

We were there the evening of free and easy July 10 they are amazing service is good and they have a very good sound selection everybody can get up and dance And being outdoors in a nice summer evening is the greatest thanks Minnesota music café and thanks Karen for always being so kind and taking the reservations and be exact with him

Love this place. It's always an older crowd and the live Music is worth it.. Good RnB bands..
