Minnoco Auto Service Center and Gas Station

Update: Fridley Minnoco didn't respond to multiple requests from the Better Business Bureau BBB over 30 days. The only request I had for the BBB was for them to contact Fridley Minnoco and have them contact me about the issues given the owner Roger has refused to communicate whatsoever. This is completely unprofessional. BBB will likewise be updating Fridley Minnoco's business profile with these issues. Do not bring your vehicle to Fridley Minnoco. The previous owner, Mike Shofner, was an exceptional mechanic and business owner. The new owner, Roger, is not. I have been brining my vehicle to Fridley Minnoco for several years, and have always had exceptional service and honesty. That all went away when Mike sold the shop to Roger. I had an enormous amount of work done on my car last summer and fall. I had to bring my vehicle in twice for repairs. I explicitly told Roger to fix the suspension and ABS... he did all sorts of stuff except the suspension and ABS. He likewise suggested a lot of work that wasn't necessary. I suspected that he fabricated some issues on my vehicle like the ABS speed sensor -he made up some story about how a rock must have disabled the sensor. Fast forward 6 months, and a number of components Roger worked on are now failing, out of alignment, not installed properly, etc. I have brought my vehicle to two separate mechanics and both said whoever did the work does not know what they are doing. I have texted Roger about the issues, and left messages on his voicemail, but he has ghosted me. I also can't get through to the shop -maybe it has closed? If so, be thankful. If Roger/Minnoco don't get back to me soon, I am going to make the 60 minute drive to have a face to face conversation about being reimbursed for a number of the parts alternator isn't even the right model, and one of the bolts completely backed out and labor; my car is no longer safe to drive. If that goes nowhere, I am filing complaints with the BBB and Minnesota Department of Commerce. I am likewise considering a Small Claims lawsuit, as I have the evidence 2 independent mechanic reports to back-up I was swindled. It is really sad to see such a gem of a repair shop go downhill like this. Roger is basically grifting on Mike's history and reputation.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Today I just got my Chevrolet Trailblazer my baby lol Fixed up today. to be honest, it runs like when I first bought the car! it runs amazing again it runs smoother brakes are smoother I like to thank, Mike Shofner & his crew. for the amazing job that was done on my Trailblazer. he also put in new things on it as he went by & luckily found some broken pieces & added some new ones. I appreciate for the lookout on that. I recommend everyone to hang out here & get your car up & running in better shape. good prices & good deals. again thanks mike & your team! Very Snobby & "Holier-than-thou" Doucebags. Act like they better than everyone & if you're not of thier CLASS they throw you out & if not out fast enough or question them. They Threaten to call police & place a "Tresspass" order on you.

A year ago I walked into this funny named place. I was recently widowed and have health issues but there was a job opening. They gave it to me and I started with in a few days. They are now family. I have watched the mechanics perform miracles. They fixed my muffler new tires oil changes a knuckle. God knows what that is. I thank the Hedstrom family for all they do for this community and me. I was there needing small auto repair. The fellow that helped me was good. The owner offered me the repair even though he was booked he put me in for a couple hours later. However his tech was injured .. I hope he is better as I understand that it was a bad accident with chemicals my heart goes out to him and his family and I hope he's doing well but I really do appreciate them to put me on a schedule that was so full I would use them again and refer people to them..

I am a regular customer and I do very well trust these guys. I have ZERO knowledge about vehicles. I have been charged an arm and a leg from another auto service who claimed to be "honest" for something that shouldn't have been replaced 2 years ago. Mike and Bruce are very upfront with everything and with explanation that's very easy to understand. Thank you guys! Update 03/07/2022: New owner. I was skeptical but I tried. It was good the few months, then no gas. Ok. I can get gas somewhere else. Then the good service started to dwindle. I don’t haggle the price of repair, I pay as is. I think there’s a lot of miscommunication going on within. First my appointment was scheduled wrong I forgave, then my burnt headlight was not replaced. I specifically mentioned this headlight before I left my car last week. I was just so disappointed when I picked up my car this morning. I asked for an estimate for my tires. Nothing. I need to know if this service is no longer available. Like what I mentioned, communication problems. I don’t feel like a valued customer at all. Thank you for the few good months anyway…

This place is great! One thing I noticed is the owner himself and all the mechanics will drop you off at home then work on the car call you when its done and pick you up. They also have. A few loaner cars for extended service. That is awesome to me and great American service!! A complementary fresh pot of coffee if you decide to stay and wait!! Great staff!! All the guys have good costumer service, smiles, can help with anything. Complementary top grade car wash for automotive service ..Affordable prices and great communication about what's going to be done and what needs to be done. Not just fixing something and adding it to the bill with a slap in the face price...They make sure you know what is going on at all times! Check them out you will not be disappointed.

Dirt bag gas station had zero functional gas pumps. Still advertising that they have gas for sale. Don't stop here, not worth the time gamble. *Edit: didn't call you a dirt-bag, I called your station a dirt-bag. You're simply rude and unprofessional. If your pumps are broken, turn off your sign! I'll go ahead and leave your competitor down the street a positive review, because they were actually quite pleasant.
