Only went in here briefly to get some water since we were going hiking. We also needed to use the restroom but the guy was really nice, let us know he didn't have a public restroom but to check out the coffee shop a couple doors down. Friendly worker. No complaints.
Pricier for beer, decent selection, but hard to figure how much something costs - guess that’s the point. Would rather just drive to seaside market or Whole Foods. Edit: tried a second time, got a 6er of 4% pilsner, charged $16 at the counter. Will never go back.
Plenty of selection, good prices, and best of all the staff are super friendly! Good people! I’ll be a customer for life!
I don't like to tell people, but the scratchers here WIN.... and the owners and their kids who work here are the best. Best Liquor shop in town!
Local spot in a good location as far as accessibility. They can't do much about the cleanliness of the area but hey it is Oceanside! Decent prices not a liquor store trying to charge like they are the only alcohol in the north county.
We got there just as he was closing up. He let us come in and get a couple of items even though he was closing. 3 stars because he was nice and accommodating. The store however wasn't very nice and could have used some cleaning.
This local Solana Beach Liquor store doesn't have a whole lot going for it. The prices are not great and the snack selection is nothing to write home about. The staff is super cool once they get to know you, but until then, expect the silent treatment. So why the four stars? Two reasons. First, this liquor store has a surprisingly varied selection of candy, specifically Starburst. Fave-Reds? check. Tropical Fruit? check. Very Berry? check. Superfruit? check. They even have those crappy Morphin ones that everyone hates. I respect their commitment to the brand. Second, and this is very important.... Once a month this liquor store receives one case of Russian River Brewing Co.'s infamous Pliny The Elder double IPA. When this case arrives, the staff pull one beautiful green bottle and set it on a counter just behind and slightly above the cashier's stand. This bottle, the lone signal to beer afficianados that greatness is in the building, will remain there until the case has been sold. Buyers are limited to 2 two bottles each of the brew. These beers are priced at $9.99/bottle. This is a steal. If you don't believe me do some homework, better yet go try to independently find this beer for sale somewhere. It ain't easy, friend. Arguments will not be brooked. Whining will not be tolerated. Begging will not get you nowhere. Buy your two bottles and come back next month. I only reveal this information because, having left Solana Beach, I want to impart what little knowledge I have to someone, and you, my Google Maps review reader are that someone. Enjoy. -Justin Arn
Super friendly and great selection of snacks and wines. I've been here dozens of times and am so happy to have a convenient, local alternative to BevMo and the grocery store.
