Lance the bartender was great. So helpful and made these tasty drinks. Loved the atmosphere, will definitely be back. Please give Lance the raise and recognition he so clearly deserves.
Intriguing craft cocktails and oh so eclectic! A wonderful intimate place to hang out with friends or watch some bizarre and obscure cult classic running silently on TV screens behind the bar. You never know what they will be playing but it is always fascinating. For example, Attack of the killer tomatoes, or lost boys, or Kill Bill. They do not serve food, however you can bring in whatever you would like. There are also a variety of nearby restaurants within easy walking distance where you can grab dinner and then head over bar. Next door is a great steak restaurant that is owned by the overlook lodge proprietor. You'll need advanced reservations for that one. He also owns Hello Kitty karaoke bar downtown. Highly recommend for a good time with friends. PS the cosmos are fantastic as are the bourbon drinks. They also have inventive nonalcohilc cocktails for you designated driver. If it's near Christmas, get a ticket for their holiday miracle on Montgomery event. You get 2 drinks with your ticket and the festivities are fantastic. At the end that even have snow falling from the ceiling. It is not to be missed!! You will need online reservations in advance, so keep an eye out from that.
Excellent bar paying homage to The Shining! Staff was great! Lots of good bourbon choices and a good band! Highly recommended!
Found this place by accident, and so glad we did. The Shining themed bar is fun, comfortable, casual, with just the right amount of ambiance and tribute. The staff is really great. And we happened upon Horror Camp Survival Night, which as horror fans we were super excited for. Great place.
The place was clean and nice enough to wait for our reservations next door. Drinks were colorful, not my favorite idea, but good. No complaints from anyone in my party.
Miracles at the overlook was a fun experience for an avid Christmas lover like me but I have 2 critiques. One I think it’s crazy there’s no refund policy. Plans change especially around the holidays, people get sick, there should be a 24 hour grace period or something. Also it was slotted for an hour and 15 min but was much shorter. Didn’t get our first drink til 10-15 minutes in. It was slotted to end at 7:45 and at 7:28 I was done with my drink and asked the bartender if I could end with a shot. The bartender told me no and that it was “too late” even though they never told us when last call was. They also rushed us out at the end saying they had to make room for the next show. If that’s the case then just make it longer like an hour and a half instead. I didn’t enjoy feeling so rushed
we came here for the christmas overlay, so i can't speak to the usual experience but i just want to say the christmas party was SO MUCH fun. wall to wall lights and wrapping paper, with surprises through the night. the drinks were so tasty and our servers were so into the spirit of things, which made the night even more magical.
Fun cozy local drinking spot. Went there in Dec to see the Christmas themed decorations. What a fantastic atmosphere!! They even have a Christmas card menu of holiday tjemed drinks. Tried a couple, tho pricey, they were spot on for flavor. If you enjoy that vintage Christmas feeling, go here.
Cocktails were DELICIOUS and well priced. Decor very accurate for the source material. Super low key vibe but awesome place!
Loved everything about this cozy little horror scene. I requested a spot for 5 and was seated right away. I ordered the hatchet first and by the suggestion of our server I got the snow tracks and honestly it's the best drink I've had in quite some time. I cannot wait to return.
