Miro Davis has developed an intricate yet broad based creative practice. Trained at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (BFA ’95), Davis’ work is best described as a mixed media practice, borrowing from various disciplines while remaining rooted in sculpture.
Her social works bring together individuals and groups through visual art, underscoring the importance of creativity in our day-to-day lives and to society as a whole. Davis’ collaborations and independent sculptures have garnered critical and popular acclaim in the US and Canada, and are permanently installed in many unique sites and public places. Davis also combines her creative preactice with facilitating arts-based workshops for the community.
Davis currently works throughout the Atlantic Provinces on public sculptural murals, and she maintains an active studio practice in Halifax NS.
