Located on the south shore of Manitoulin Island & operated by the Friends of Misery Bay, this nature reserve protects one of Manitoulin's beautiful alvar coasts.

Connecting With Nature
For this summer, the Interpretive Programme will focus on one main aspect of the Park, for a two week time block, with a day to meet and greet an expert in that theme.
For the summer of 2013, the 5 themes are:
The Mammals July 1 through 12
Our expert is Ian Anderson, former conservation officer. He will be available to meet and greet visitors to the Park, and answer questions, on Thursday July 4 th, starting at 10:00 a.m.
The Turtles July 15 through 26
Our expert is Dr. Jackie Litzgus, Laurentian University. She will be available to meet and greet visitors, and answer questions, on Thursday July 18 th, starting at 10:00 a.m. The turtles of Misery Bay are being tracked this year by Anna Sheppard and Ed Morris, of Ontario Parks.
The Geology July 29 through August 9
Our expert is David Webster, geologist with Ontario Parks. He will be available to meet and greet visitors to the Park, and answer questions, on Thursday August 1st, starting at 10:00 a.m.
The Forest and Flora August 12 through 23

All our regular exhibits will be available for visitors to peruse throughout the summer.
