Picked up dinner from Miss Jeans for the first time tonight. My entire family was disappointed, as that’s as nice as I can put it. I have a kid who eats potted meat and she turned her nose up at this food after trying it. The “potato salad” is cold mashed potatoes…with dill. The coleslaw is DRY shredded vegetables with black pepper. The sausage tasted cheap and seemed like it was just warmed in the microwave and sliced. The “smoked” it was precooked and thrown in an oven brisket was DRY. It fell apart and not in a good way - it crumbled. The ribs were okay at best and at least had some flavor. We had to season the rest of the food ourselves at home. What irks me the most was that everything you see in the picture cost me $93 after tax. For $93 put SOME sort of effort into your food! We got the family pack and added two sides okra and sweet potato fries and a corn dog. The ribs having some flavor is what gained a two star review. I don’t even know what else to say, other than the 6 of us are extremely disappointed. Next time I’ll just get the Jack Daniel’s “bbq” from Walmart.
Food was great, employees were nice but very short and in a hurry, said they were closing early because of holiday and so half of the menu was unavailable. There weren't any signs advising customers of this fact and they put our food in to go cartons even tho we were dining in just in case, they said gave you the feeling they wanted you out.
Purchased 4 chopped beef sandwiches. $40 plus tax. No bbq sauce on them. Definitely wasn't what I paid for and what they advertise. Asked for onions, pickles on the side with bbq sauce. Didn't give me enough for 4 sandwiches. Asked for more. Tried to charge me. Seriously? If you're going to charge $10+ for sandwiches do the right thing and give me condiments at no charge. The onions and pickles probably cost you 10 cents with this order. Yall were friendly until I called you out on the condiments. In Houston condiments for $10 sandwiches are free ma'am at every BBQ place. Do better. Stop robbing the people who you depend on to keep your business open. Have a blessed day.
This a must go to for consistently delicious BBQ! Has been our #1 favorite for many years. Even go out of our way when traveling to get there.
Please follow us on Facebook at SNDTravels. A real Texas roadside find. In the land of great BBQ this is a standout. Tried the 3 meat plate so I could sample different meats. Ribs, brisket and cheddar jalapeno sausage. The sausage had a full body flavor without one ingredient overwhelming the others and the jalapenos were not real hot. The brisket I had was lean and cut really thin. I usually ask for the juicy end and forgot but this was still tender and tasty. The real star was the ribs. Big and meaty they were fall of the bone tender and the seasoning was awesome. Some of the best ribs I've had. Their sauce was very good and thin enough it never overpowered the meats. On the side was Texas toast that could actually be addictive. This place is small so I imagine there is a long wait at peak times. If you want to go for dinner keep in mind they close at 7 P.M. so it's a very early shutdown. Don't pass it up if you're hungry!
The ribs fell off the bone and were delicious. The place was cool to see, lots of old items to see. I will return again.
The best smoked ribs and smoked brisket I have had hands down in a very long time definitely would recommend this to anyone who loves barbecue and the sauce is to die for
