My name is Brett Edgar and I am the owner of Missing Link Foods. As someone with 20 years of experience in catering and the fine dining restaurant industry I have always loved to cook. I have been an athlete all of my life and recognize the value of a healthy diet, which means a lot of time spent in the kitchen cutting, chopping, and cooking fresh food. However, as a husband and father I know how difficult it is to balance working, cooking healthy meals, spending quality time with my wife and kids, working out, and socializing. Due to some health issues, my wife and I researched the Paleo Diet and were drawn not only to its healthfulness, but also to its combinations of bold flavors and interesting ingredients. We felt better and were enjoying new foods, but after our second child was born we struggled to find time to make fresh meals, let alone Paleo meals. My wife started making meals in bulk and freezing them, which enabled us to eat well, even when we didn't have the time. It was then that I realized we were probably not the only ones trying to keep up with a busy schedule and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I decided to combine my work experience with my passion for cooking and a healthy lifestyle, and start Missing Link Foods. It is my goal to provide affordable, pre-made meals that are both healthy and delicious to the Treasure Valley.
All meals are made from scratch in a Health Department Certified commercial kitchen following the guidelines of the Paleo/Primal Diet. This means that there are no grains, legumes, soy or preservatives. Minimal dairy is occasionally used and all ingredients are emailed to customers along with cooking instructions. Each single-person portion consists of one serving of protein and two servings of vegetables, following the USDA guidelines for serving size. The USDA defines one serving of meat to be 3 to 5 ounces pre-cooked and one serving of vegetables to be 1/2 cup pre-cooked. We provide 5 ounce pre-cooked portions of meat, and vegetables are one cup pre-cooked (which is equivalent to 2 servings).
Currently, Missing Link Foods provides 4 meals per week that are available in 2 or 4 person packages. The meal plans can also be combined to accommodate 6 or 8 people. The 2 person plan is ideal for singles who want lunch and dinner covered for most of the week, or couples who want healthy dinner or lunch options. The 4 person plan is ideal for busy families who want to spend less time cooking and more time with family. The 2 person plan is $55 plus tax and the 4 person plan is $99 plus tax. I currently accept cash or check made out to Missing Link Foods. Online payment options coming soon!
Each Tuesday an email is sent with the menu for the following week. Customers have until 1:00 p.m. Friday afternoon to respond with their order, which will be available for pick-up at their selected drop off location at 5:00p.m. the following Tuesday. For example, if I send out a menu on Tuesday January 7, customers would have to place their orders by Friday January 10, and their food would be at the drop off location on Tuesday January 14 by 5:00PM.

You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit, and Missing Link Foods assumes no liability for any User Content submitted by you. You agree to indemnify Missing Link Foods against all claims and liabilities resulting from your User Content.
You understand and agree that Missing Link Foods reserves the right to review and delete any User Content for any or no reason, including User Content that we determine in our sole discretion violates these Terms, Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, or is otherwise inappropriate or offensive, harmful to us, other Missing Link Foods fans or any third party.
You understand and agree that Missing Link Foods may ban any user from posting on the Missing Link Foods Facebook page, or from using Facebook applications created or administered by Missing Link Foods, for a pattern of inappropriate postings or as otherwise deemed necessary by Missing Link Foods.
For any User Content that you submit, you grant Missing Link Foods a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, sell and distribute such User Content, and to incorporate such User Content in any form, medium or technology throughout the world, all without compensation to you. For this reason, do not post any User Content that you do not wish to license to Missing Link Foods. In addition, you grant Missing Link Foods the right to include the name provided with the User Content you have posted.
Missing Link Foods reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. Your use of Facebook pages and applications created or administered by Missing Link Foods following any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms whenever you use Facebook pages and applications created or administered by Missing Link Foods.
