In the fall of 1988, two gentlemen from Chilliwack, BC joined the Bible League’s ministry tour to India. Throughout the tour they learned about the history, culture, religion and economic situation of the people there. They also visited new emerging Christian churches that were established as a result of the relationship between Bible League Canada and its Ministry partner.
The trip left both men with a desire to help the people of India and on returning to Canada they became involved in discussions with the Director of Bible League Canada. They ultimately established a thrift store, donating the net revenue to Bible League Canada so Bibles could be distributed to the people of India. Since then, Mission Thrift Stores have grown to over 48 locations across the country.
Although we have recently rebranded, our purpose remains the same:
Serving to place the Living Word of God worldwide in Joint Ministry with Bible League Canada.
Bible League Canada ultimately strives towards this goal through the careful placement of God’s Word in various parts of the world. Mission
Thrift Store plans to continue this mission through opening more stores across Canada.

Through our joint ministry with Bible League Canada, Mission Thrift Store (formerly Bibles for Missions Thrift Stores) places the Living Word of God into Bible-based literacy and leadership training programs as well as serving the persecuted Church, transforming the lives of men, women and children in over 40 countries.
