Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum at historic Soulé Steam Works preserves the history of manufacturing in America and enlightens visitors of all ages
The Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum, located in the historic Soulé Steam Feed Works site, promotes the heritage, labor, and innovation that influenced and shaped our country’s rise as an industrial and manufacturing pioneer.
Soulé Steam Feed Works site has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979 due to the historical significance of George W. Soulé, inventor. The site was designated a Mississippi Landmark in Fall 2003. Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum was designated the Official State Historical Industrial Museum in July 2004 by the Mississippi legislature.
Guided Tours are available for $10 per person Tuesday - Saturday at 9:30am, 11:00am and 1:30pm. For groups and prearranged tours please call in advance for plans to fit your needs. (Guided tours are not normally available on special event days).
The Museum Gift Shop features items made in Mississippi and a stock of antique book reprints as well as books of local and regional interest. Wrought iron items made by local black-smiths are also
