While guiding you to embark on a new career or preparing you for transfer to your senior institution, Mitchell faculty will lead you in the exploration of both traditional and contemporary mediums in the visual arts.
Mitchell's program stresses the application of aesthetic principals to enhance the creative process with the goal of making students fluent in a wide variety of media, technologies and modes of critical thinking and expression.
Through a study of art that emphasizes the past and the present, the personal and the universal, you will gain an insight into the visual arts as an essential part of the human experience. In the foundation courses, you will be prepared to develop your own creative voice while working towards becoming a leader in the field of visual arts.
