Sunday morning at around 10am, I called Lloyd from Washington DC. My Great Aunt passed peacefully in her sleep and we wanted to bring her home to Illinois. Lloyd was in the middle of filming his new hearse in St. Louis. Lloyd stopped the filming and took time to listen and help. He took care of EVERYTHING. He contacted a local funeral home in DC to help with the arrangements to take my Aunt from the Assisted Living and get her ready for the flight back to IL. Upon arrival at O'Hare, Lloyd made arrangements to pick her up and prepare for the funeral. I know a lot went on but me and the family let Lloyd do all the work. Then on the day of the Funeral, Lloyd had my Great Aunt in his new Hearse. So fitting as I think it was a 1931 version. The funeral went without any issues. As mentioned, EVERYTHING was taken care of by Lloyd at Mitzvah Funerals. So happy to have Lloyd and his team as partners during this sad time. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! My family appreciated everything you have done.
The word Mitzvah is so entirely appropriate for this funeral firm. Lloyd Mandel owner, founder, and funeral director is truly exceptional on so many levels he went to the moon and back for me for not just one death but two within less than 3 weeks of each other. I highly recommend the services of Mitzvah Memorials you are family to them. Thank you Lloyd Mandel
Lloyd Mandel handled my in-laws funerals. He and his staff were very kind and thoughtful. My in-laws' funerals were arranged to hold them in the synagogue seamlessly according to our wishes.
Due to Covid I was unable to travel in for my grandfather's funeral. I felt a little comfort in the fact that I would be able to watch the ceremony and be there virtually for my family. The video did not work and I write this while my grandfather is being buried, unable to join my family virtually as we say goodbye. Unrelated but the business name is spelled wrong on Google: spelled Mitvzah when it should be Mitzvah
Treated my father with utmost respect. Bill, the funeral director is the utmost professional as well as truly caring for the family.
One word, "Outstanding". Put the ball in their hands and don't look back. Can't say enough Thank Yous.
