I haven't been to the movies since before I had kids - its been about 13 years. Thank you Westland MJR and all the patrons there this evening for making it such a great experience for my daughter and I. Not only did they have tickets for only $5 a Tuesday special, I guess?, but signing up beforehand for the free rewards program, I was able to get a large popcorn for only $1! We chose the VIP seats which were only an extra $2 each, which come with their own little side tables, they recline, and there's dividers between your two seats and the next group of 2 seats. So we got 2 VIP seats and a large popcorn for only $15. Very cool. The employees were all very friendly, timely, professional, and it seemed quite clean, especially for a movie theater - bathrooms included.
Nice theater. They made nice updates. 16 cinemas. Family friendly, they got some arcade machines. Much better than it used be before. They updated the seat to recliner seats.
I took my daughter to see the new Super Mario Bros movie, sadly, we had to leave early to pick up my son from ABA Therapy! We really enjoyed watching the parts that we did see! Now, I just have to sell some more crafting supplies, so we can go back and see the whole thing! Stay tuned!
I am pleased that the theater and bathrooms have been cleaner the past couple of times that I went. I love the V.I.P. seating, and my daughter loves the slurpees. My one criticism is that they played a disturbing horror film preview at The Blue Beetle movie. I feel that it is inappropriate for younger audiences, and that type of preview should only be played at other horror movies or rated r movies, so kids don't have nightmares. Thanks for hearing me out.
Really nice clean theater. Someone had asked me, but the seats don't recline at MJR though do they? I said no, I don't think they do. I was very wrong. Purchased normal seats, no upgrades and had spacious, comfortable auto reclining seats. I was fully laid back with my feet up, so much room. Very happy. Yes, been a very long time since I've been to a movie. It was a very nice evening with my family.
My husband and I went to the theater after not going for a while, there wasn't a lot of people there, so social distance wasn't a problem at all. I order the all beef hotdog, fries, and frozen coke, which was really good. The theater seat was comfortable, where you can adjust your seat to your comfort.
Don't buy drinks or popcorn it's an outrage and thievery priced. it will be 3× more money tban buying the tickets.
I was impressed by the cleanliness of the Theatres. Screens are big enough and recliner seats were really comfortable. They have couple seats also. Don’t mislead by the outer looks. You can choose MJR Westland for a high quality movie experience.
Nice large parking lot, reserved seating. Loved their "private luxury seats" that heat, recline, have tables and hooks for coats and even privacy walls and they were unbelievable cheap. I was visiting, and a seat at my Cineplex at home costs $19.50. the luxury recliners here were $8 bucks for my show! Easy ticketing both in person, via a kiosk, or online and a full range of concessions, including Coke Freestyle machines.
Nice seats and clean theater, but maybe don’t let a group of teenage boys sit in the aisle and walk around and while constantly talking loudly during the movie. For that matter, same goes for the 5-10 other people talking or using their phone over the course of the movie. Yes, security did handle it eventually, but I shouldn’t have been put in the uncomfortable position where I had to leave my seat to go tell some someone about it and it definitely shouldn’t have been a 5 minute negotiation with them and security in the middle of the theater disrupting the rest of the audience. I was personally thanked by multiple people for doing something that any good theater would have been taken care of already. I love movies and the theatrical experience so I’m more than happy to pay the $20+ to go see a movie and support the business. But if you really want to stay in business and keep customers, please make an effort to keep the theatrical experience special and worth it.
