My dreams of a perfect balayage came true thanks to Mike’s incredible talent and expertise. Mike actually listened to me and knew exactly what I wanted. He is a true hair artist and takes his time to achieve perfection. I have honestly never been so happy and satisfied with my experience and results leaving a salon. My hair came out better than I could have ever imagined. I finally have the ashy blonde balayage hair of my dreams! My hair is so smooth and blended as well just like I asked. I’m extremely picky with who touches my hair, and I only trust Mike from now on! He even gave me a fresh trim for my split ends, which i’m always nervous about, and his haircut didn’t affect my length! Not only is he so talented but he is such a kind hearted person who truly cares about making his clients happy! Thank you Mike for your masterpiece

Mike is absolutely awesome! He is so very nice and talented and really takes his time & listens to exactly what you say. He really puts his heart into his art/work. I have been trying to grow out color and a haircut from a previous stylist and I told him I wanted to keep as much length as possible while still trying to smooth out what someone else had done to my hair the other person had it really chopped up and had all kinds of shades that I'm growing out.. Mike smoothed out my hair beautifully he's very skilled at cutting because, honestly, I am amazed at how nicely he connected those very short pieces & still keep that much length... Just like I asked for.. I have medium dark hair naturally and, as I said, I had many previous shades that I told him to Leave in as I grow them out.. but that I just wanted ultra bright blond heavily highlighted throughout... He did exactly as I said.. I'm all bright and poppin for Summer!! Thank You Mike! He also blow dried it and had it all soft and silky.. I took a few pics when I got home.. to share. What an amazing experience! I get sooo many compliments every time I leave Carmen's shop! Her work ethic is on point! She's a very talented Hair Stylist; polite, professional, honest, and always on time! I appreciate that! I would definitely recommend Carmen! Absolutely should've listened to the reviews. I know people can be picky about their hair care and I was desperate so I took them with a grain of salt. Carmen gave me a same day Saturday appointment and I was beyond grateful. I got there thanked her for taking me last minute and she simply said "you can sit over there". While I was under the dryer Carmen shampooed her next client and proceeded to tell a story that involved calling somebody a b**, mf*** and n** I don't consider myself a prude and i know shops are often casual but you'd think she'd be more professional with a first time customer. She later talked about a CHILDS hair the minute the adult that brought the child stepped out of the salon. I could've ignored almost all of this if my hair came out good. She yanked, pulled, huffed and acted like she didn't want to do my hair the entire time. Only for me to get home and discover a COMPLETELY singed piece that she attempted to tuck and hide. Terrible. From start to finish. My first hair salon experience in LA was a major let down.

Love going here. Mike is always so friendly and he does the best colour and cuts. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair.

Living in the SFV, it was difficult to find a black hair stylist but I found Carmen over 15 years ago and haven't seen another stylist since. She's the shop owner and is welcoming, professional and reasonably priced. Also the shop is lovely. Highly recommend!

I honestly should have listened to the reviews but I was desperate. Carmen's attitude is so disgusting. Someone like that should absolutely NOT be in business. She makes her prices as she goes so ask her what she charges first! Even then she'll give you a different price when you get there. She collects money first so BEWARE. She's so rude I'm still in shock. Not a friendly person at all.

Carmen is indeed very rude! I was trying to make small talk with her and asked how many clients she had that day. She had an attitude and said, “why do you want to know. Are you trying to count my money?” Then a lady came in for a consultation. When the lady left, Carmen started talking about how fat the lady was. She definitely overcharges and makes up prices as she goes. I will not be going back to her.

Micheal was so friendly and did a wonderful job on my hair. I got a keratin treatment and a hair cut, and my hair looks fabulous! I have received many compliments. I would recommend him to anyone.

Mike is wonderful! I’ve been coming to him for a year now for a color & cut. He always does an amazing job. He’s such a nice guy and easy to talk to. My hair always looks great after he’s done. I haven’t been disappointed once!
