Ryan Helsley, Will Casanova and Trace Armstrong bring the award-winning Moe’s Original Bar B Que to PCB. Serving Alabama-style BBQ and made from scratch Southern sides prepared fresh daily, the BBQ joint features to go packs and catering. Beer and wine will be served as well as a wine-based liquor alternative used for specialty cocktails such as the Bushwacker and Bloody Moe.
Located in the middle of the strip right across from the Gulf of Mexico and about a half of a mile East of Pier Park, the 2000 square foot fast casual restaurant seats about 50 inside. Throughout the heavily wooded interior, there is lots of personality with a beachy/ BBQ feel to it as surf boards, fishing gear, old driftwood and carved fish fill the walls. With a tiki hut bar out front, the expansive patio wraps around the side of the building and is a place for guests to people watch, socialize, eat, drink, and enjoy HDTVs, outdoor games, and live music. Additionally, there is a large gravel parking lot out back.
Years after learning to fire roast meats in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Mike Fernandez, Ben Gilbert and Jeff Kennedy founded Moe’s Original Bar B Que in Vail, Colorado in 2001. Named one of the Top 10 Rib Joints in America, Moe’s Original Bar B Que has 28 other locations in AL, CO, GA, ME, NC, OH and TN. The popular restaurant features a Southern soul food revival with pulled pork, ribs, wings, turkey and chicken smoked over hardwood served with two unique sauces as well as southern favorites such as fried catfish and a shrimp sandwich.
