Monadnock Regional Middle/High School, the Home of the Huskies, serves the 7th through 12th grade students living in the seven towns of the Monadnock Regional School District, SAU #93. These southwestern New Hampshire communities include Fitzwilliam, Gilsum, Richmond, Roxbury, Sullivan, Troy and the Swanzeys. Monadnock was established in 1962 when the district was founded, and named after a nearby landmark, Mount Monadnock. The school is located on Old Homestead Highway in Swanzey Center, five miles from Keene, New Hampshire. It is a comprehensive high school accredited by the New Hampshire Department of Education and the New England Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Enrollment in the spring of 2012 is approximately 854, with 282 students in the middle school and 572 at the high school.
