Visited back in May with a friend. It's easy enough to find along the strip with plenty of parking in front. The waiter was wonderful and so was the bartender! My friend got a long island iced to go with her food. We even ended up dining outside in the front. Lovely atmosphere, great people, awesome food, and nice prices for great portion sizes.
The waiter/cashier was so lovely. She recommended many things on the menu, gave some history of Italian cuisine and was just a over all delightful. The spaghetti was ok and the lasagna was pretty good.Food: 4/5
Their meat sauce is a one of a kind recipe. It has a sweet taste to it. Menu items have been very pleasing. Interior setting is really nice. The eggplant spear appetizer is really yummy. Beware, the dishes are Texas sized to be prepared to fill up. I bought 5 jars of their sauce and took it home. Very tasty. Food prices are very reasonable for what they offer. If we opted for regular drinks rather than alcohol drinks the bill would have been 50% less.
Unique place to go. A lot of different trinkets to look at instead of your awkward date while you wait for your food. They offer freshly brewed sweetened and unsweetened ice tea. The sauce is S W E E T; like you can envision grandma dumping sugar bag sweet. The sauce has a beautiful red color and isn’t too runny nor too thick. The lasagna hit the spot! One of the best ones around. Garfield the cat would be proud! The eggplant stack was also delicious. It was not greasy and had a crunch on the outside. It was not mushy on the inside, it was cooked just right. What was great about the appetizer is that we didn’t look like we were playing hot potato in our mouths. It was the perfect temperature. Oh and the complimentary bread was good.
Everything was wonderful, but that egg plant stack was on another level.Food: 5/5
The tomato sauce for spaghetti and lasagna was too sweet. The chicken Alfredo had no flavor. Almost like they didn't add enough heavy cream and cheese. No seasoning either. We won't go back. Bad experience. Caesar salad taste mostly like Mayonnaise. If they changed the sweet red sauce to kinda sweet it would help. Sorry just trying to be honest.
I had not been to Monjuni's in years and was very pleased with the food and service there. The baked pasta was better than the ravioli my wife ordered we both felt. The chocolate mousse was rich and very good. I would recommend this place to anyone in the mood for pasta. The food and patio area are actually quite nice and it would seem that the decor makes the restaurant feel more informal. They could lose the checker table cloths and plastic grapes and turn the lights down but that is only my opinion.
Great little place hidden from the rest of BR. Friday for lunch it was not busy at all. Quit atmosphere. Lived here my whole life and just discovered it. Great service. Food was good. Free bread with marinara sauce . Marinara sauce was SUPER SWEET. And the same sauce was used on the lasagna, however the server tells me that you can request the tomato basil red sauce as a replacement for a more traditional Sicilian flavor. Which I plan to try next time. Homemade caesar dressing was very good. Only thing that would have been better would have been a clean table. I think it was just overlooked as a simple mistake. ‍
It's a step back in time with the atmosphere, music and overall feel of the decor. We enjoyed our meals and the service was great and super friendly.Food: 5/5
Great atmosphere. Wasn't busy for early dinner and was quick. Very accommodating and friendly. Did not like the napoleon dinner but the lasagna and meatball were really good. The muffalatta was better than I expected and the fries were good but a little expensive. The sauce is really sweet but my wife loves it.
